I've been there (tho I'm a guy). Its a complicated reason (psychology) but in simple terms:
Bcoz u exhibit the 'friend' in u not the hot chic someone wld want to date. NO - yo looks dont matter that much either. Try this:
Be less available as a friend
Dont be an easy date i.e. when they do start coming dont say yes too quickly
Hang out with the hot chic that guys like (look, listen and learn)

Maybe you are just looking in the wrong places. Also if you are interested in one particular guy then it would be a good idea to shw that interest. Guys like when a girl shows interest because guys get turned down so much that sometimes they have a hard time showing that they like someone.
