Could be one of many things.....

First, when did you last have your eyes tested? If you haven't had them tested within the last year, go and get them checked. You might need glasses. Poor vision can cause regular headaches.

Second, do you take over the counter pain killers regularly for your headaches? If so, they could actually be CAUSING headaches. Stop taking them regularly and see if the headaches get better.

Third, they could be tension headaches. These feel like a tight band around your head and are relatively unresponsive to painkillers. They're due to muscle spasm in your neck and shoulders and general measures to reduce stress and anxiety will improve the headaches.

I think you need to check this out with your doc, just to make sure there is nothing physiologically wrong with you.

If your doc thinks you are basically OK, the headache is most likely to be caused by stress. Think about what time the headache comes to find clues about its origin. Is there anything you can do to improve the environment you are in? Are you in the right job? Etc.

Also - consider if it might be due to dehydration - are you drinking enough water? Aim to drink 8 glasses a day and see if this helps. Good luck.

Which portion of ur head is paining and at what time is important as well.If u ve severe pain at the back side of ur head above neck, and if the pain lasts for a few hours, especailly in the mornings,it could be hypertension.Or if ur headache is spread all over lasting for some hours,it could mean migraine.Avoid eating late at night.Avoid too much of salty food.Relax often, meditate and go for long walks.Get it checked with ur Dr as it could be not that simple as it seems.Or is it that u've given up beverages suddenly? This could also cause the headache.

Me too. Been having headaches everyday since I was about 14 so that's about 10years now. Told my doctors several times about it and they didn't give a s***. Go straight to a specialist if it's fixed by obvious things like drinking enough water, eliminating allergic things like orange, chocolate and meat (all which give me problems). Any unresolved passed injuries? Jaw problems? Good luck. Tell docs who want to hide the problem with painkillers to do their job and find out why it happens.

I used to get a headache every day.
On holiday I went to a chiropractor. OK, afterwards I felt like I had been in a fight, but my headaches stopped.
I had pinched/trapped nerves.

is it a hangover? (too much drinking of alcohol)
Are you tired or stressed or have tension?
Do you need Glasses?
Try rubbing just below ur thumb on your palm in the soft bit it may help relieve a bit!!??
Maybe your neck or back is out and that can cause headaches. I would suggest seeing a chiropractor.
Have you cracked your skull?
Maybe it could be a brain problem? If it has been happening for awhile I would see your doctor and have a chat with him!

I used to get haedaches everyday until I went to go see a chiropractor. They said that there was a nerve that was being pinched by my spine. They cracked my neck to loosen up the muscles around there and I haven't gotten headaches since. It takes about 2 - 3 weeks to see results.

You might need glasses if you already have them then you might need your prescription changed, if it carries on go see your doctor! I had the same thing and I got new glasses never had any headaches since.
All the best!

Drinnk loads of water, get you eyes tested, go to your doctor for blood tests, and if all else fails, visit an osteopath who will make sure there is nothing out of place. Good luck!
