Why do men choose thin chicks over thick chicks?

Well, it's actually a stereotype that many guys have yet to understand and overcome. We generally get the idea that thin chicks are always better, because they get the most publicity. There are no regular plus-size fashion shows that I know of, because people have been taught to equate thickness with un-lovely ness.


I personally have a thick chick for a girl, and believe me it makes no difference whether a guy takes to thin ones easier. It's what's inside the girl (character, personality, affection, brains) that hooks us guys, and keeps us hooked on a girl, not the body.


BTW, I'm a pro athlete and I'm pretty good-looking ( I think) and though there have been attempts by thin chicks before, I'm happy to report that my thick chick keeps me happier than anybody else in my life. We've been together for 5 years +.

It a personal attraction . Some guys prefer heavy ladies some don't .I was asked out more when I am thinner . I go up and down in weight .I vary from average weight to over weight by 40 pounds . I roller coaster so I notice it's just a personal choice . I notice (northern state more heavier people ) and (southern states thinner) and I've actually have gain and lost weight , I felt too heavy in Fla , I became thin and in Wi . I felt too thin and gained weight .No I'm not stating all heavy people are there or thin are there. But some areas men might be use to seeing one more than the other as attractive .

I have a gal friend who feels the same. The truth is:

YES men in general prefer thin chicks. This is bcoz that's what TV has forced down our throats - thinner is better.

BUT women take this preference too seriously! Lots of other men prefer thick chics! I have lots of friends who do. The biggest turn down is the low self esteem. Dont ever ask a man -"Am I too fat" If u really were he wouldn't be hitting on you!! Happy dating

Not all men like thin chicks. I know plenty of thick chicks that are in happy relationships. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

Well my girlfriend is sorta thin at the top but thick in the waist. She has a 'ghetto booty' so to speak. It's nice! I can work with it. Enough about my girl, as for you! Don't worry about what you think that everybody else is doing. You have to focus on yourself. If you feel alright with how you look, then ride with what you have. If you feel that you could improve on what you have; then try an exercise regimen or a special diet. Here's one that is said to work: Eat six small meals a day. You'll eat your regular three servings at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As foe the other three, you'll insert them between the other three. You eat six "SMALLER" meals to keep your stomach active, which uses energy to digest the foods being ingested; therefore burning fat - combine this with an aerobics workout, or a light walk around the block should get you on your way. It is for biological reasons only. It is easier to handle thinner chicks for all physical purposes and that makes your answer.
Nevertheless, no good man like me, would be averse to thick chick also as they offer fullsome entertainment.

No I used to be fat when up until I turned 14, im 20 now and work out 5 days a week, 6'2 224, personally I would never go out with a skinny girl because its just disgusting, I like normal girls or a little chubby, but not skinny like you said euuuuuuwwwwwww, when im at a cash register at a store or something and im paying I C the magazines with the girls in front and im turned off and really disgusted.

men choose thin chicks over thicker ones because that is how our society is..the TV media mags..ect..are made to make people believe that that thin is what is "IN"..im sure if the media didnt portray thin as what is beauty an what we all need to look like then teens wouldnt be starvin themselfs an men would appriate more women an not just go with what there told ..i also think its because its how the media puts shame on bigger people that if they date a thicker women they will be ashamed to go out with her an introduce her to there friends/family..there are some men out there that like thicker women but 80% like thin..thn again men domnt want to see ur ribs thin...but domt want u to be thickerr...so yea its like that soinece that is what er are to believe cuz of the media..that thin is what beauty is

Personal choice. Some men love thick chicks. You just haven't found one who accepts you for you yet. They're all too superficial
