No. Your dreams are a chance for your mind to rid itself of overloads, fears, worries etc. Some can be prophetic and some are just pure junk.

Subconscious mind is the source of dreams.It acts as a floppy. So during dreaming state the human system boots from that floppy.Remember subconscious mind has the data recorded on it which can be many births old.

Dreams r directly connected with Sub concious mind . Its like a pc which saves all files and during sleep some of the files open randomly which may b also imagination .

it also depends upon physical state of body .

From what I've read on dreams, I believe your daily activities play a role in what happens in your dreams. Emotional states and daily cognition also lend to one's dreams. For example, if you are worried about something, you might dream yourself falling into oblivion.
