I thought I needed a man in my life for the usual things - security, love, comfort - in fact I would rather stay in a bad relationship than forego these things. However, last year, my partner was inexcusably horrible and I left him - taking our 4 month old baby and I never went back. I also got made redundant 6 months later from a very well paid job I'd had 20 years. I always considered myself quite weak but within a year I had a baby, left my partner, lost a fab job and had no income to support myself or my child but I found the strength to stand up face the world and now I am really happy and have a great new job, a gorgeous child and most important of all - self respect. You'd be surprised at what you are capable of when 'your backs against the wall'.

I never knew that I could love someone as much as I do for no reason at all. It came upon me as a gift and I treasure it always. I am not with this person, but I still love them. I think of them constantly and as the days go by, I love them even more than the day before. It hurts so much that I could just die. Someday I will and they will never know how much they were loved because they won't believe or don't care. It's alright...GOD knows what he is doing and I trust him to take care of me and to forgive them for what they didn't do........+
