It would be a tough choice as to what route to go, but I would definately do the surgery right away; that way the child isn't exposed to the facts too young.

Yes, if there's a chance of the kid growing up "normal", I'd take it. I've heard of hermaphrodites winding up in loony bins for cutting off their johnsons when they're full grown.

OOOO, tough question. You want to say yes, you'd fix that immediately, but then comes the afterthought of "What if I made my kid the wrong sex?" You could wait until their a few years old and see if they show anything one way or another. I have no idea what I would do in that situation.

I would have genetic testing done to see if the baby was genetically male or female and then I would have the surgery done as soon as possible while the baby was young enough to have no memory of it.

Absolutely not. Babies all look the same. As the child gets older, you'll be able to see what gender it identifies with more and it will be able to choose. If you pick the wrong one, that's it.
