I came to the US as a political refugee in 1993. During a temporary visit abroad, I married, and then got an SB-1 Returning Resident visa. Now I am on active duty in the Navy. I would like to know whether there is a faster way for my spouse to come to the United States than by filing I-130. At this time, I am not a US citizen.

I know that filing an I-130 is a general solution. Getting an EB-2 Exceptional Abilities visa is a faster way, but it takes up to 10 months to get it. Maybe there is a special visa for spouses of US Residents serving in Armed Forces?

The best way to handle your situation is to follow the rules established by Congress and enforced by the INS. Just be patient and you will gain you citizenship legally. God luck....
