I think you read about a 6 cylnder 4stroke eng.You can`t have 6 cycles the eng will not run no way possible.You can have a 2cycle eng when everything happens in 2 strokes (1) intake and compression.(2) power and exhaust.On a 4cycle eng it`s (1)intake (2) compression (3)power or ingition (4) exhaust

A stroke is one complete upward (or downward) motion of the piston from the bottom dead center to the top dead center (or vice versa).
A cycle is the complete sequence of steps (of strokes) which brings the working fluid back to its initial thermodynamic state.
Thus strokes and cycles are not the same and as rightly pointed out each cycle of a 4 stroke engine is made up of 4 strokes. This means that starting from one fuel intake to the next intake, the piston makes 2 upward and 2 downward motions.
Depending on the thermodynamic cycle used in the IC engine, one cycle may have more or less than 4 strokes( eg. a 2 stroke IC engine).
But a 6 cycle, 4 stroke engine doesn't make much sense to me. Or is it 6 cylinder, 4 stroke? In which case it means that there are 6 individual cylinder-piston assemblies in the engine.
May be someone can help in this regard.

In a modern engine there are 4 strokes.
1 the intake valve open and the piston goes down taking in the fuel-air mixture.
2 the piston goes up and compresses the fuel-air mixture.
3 the mixture is detonated from a spark and the piston goes down.
4 the piston goes up the exhaust valve opens and the burned gasses are evacuated.
This are the strokes
The cycle is made up from this 4 strokes repeating over and over
1 Cycle = stroke 1 fallowed by stroke 2 fallowed by stroke 3 fallowed by stroke 4.

Kindly please check one more time very carefully the spec of the Ducati, whether is it 6 cyl (cylinder) 4 stroke and not 6 cycle 4 stroke.

It's basically the same thing. When you speak of the engine, you're speaking about it cycling through it's phases. Each phase is 1 stroke of the rod and piston.
