I recently have visited saudi arabia, three important cities Mecca, Medinah and Jeddah, I am a muslim but as i saw, the islamic laws in some cases in Saudi arabia differs with the islamic laws in other islamic countries, especially about the women, please explain me about this differences, and i want to know in this condition how is the oppertunity for a saudi girl to marry with a good muslim man in other islamic country that they dont know eachother before? because when a woman has covered herself completely, she will lose many good chances in marriage that may comes true in some conditions...and this is natural.
And, i had really good times in saudi arabia in my visiting, and thanks to God for this and thanks to many of saudi people that had good treating to other muslims that come from other countries.

The Saudis follow the Wahhabi doctrine, which is an extreme version of the Hanbali Sunni school of jurisprudence in Islam. In regard to women, all Islamic schools prefer segregation as much as possible, but the Wahhabis go further in forcing it by all means possible, even by hitting violators if necessary. Islamic schools also all agree that women should wear the veil. However, they differ about the definition of the veil. The most common view is that a woman should cover all her body except the hands and face. Wahhabis think that they even have to cover hands and face, and again they force it in all ways possible.
However, since early 1990s, the Wahhabis lost much of their political force as reforms hit their school hard. Terrorism in late 1990s and early 2000s, which is heavily based on Wahhabi thought, also made them to loose more. This is why in some parts of Saudi Arabia they cannot do much about forcing some of their rituals. They cannot hit people anymore, although they can cause some serious problem in some cases.
As for marriage to a Saudi girl, I think much of Saudi Arabians are still traditional. Traditional marriage is still the rule in most of the country. If you need to marry a girl, you have to propose to her through her family. Although Islamic law permits you to see the girl you want to marry without even a veil, but many people are strict and would not even allow that. You have to rely on what other woman tell you about her.
However, some parts of Saudi Arabia are becoming more liberal. Dating exist in a limited way, but you have to take extreme precaution in this case so that police don't catch you. The most common way is to get to know Saudi girls through the Internet. So many of them are there, but they are not necessarily good girls. It is usually bad girls that go to the Internet to escape the restrictions on them outside. But this is not a rule. There are also many nice Saudi girls out there. Good Luck.

Well, I think the difference is : in Saudi Arabia, and gulf Area, due to traditions and habits , women have used to cover their faces, but recently, a reasonable portion of women began to uncover faces....
Marriage in Islamic countries, mainly, depends on relations between families and nighbors...
I hope I could clarify to you.

as we are far away from our Islamic law, these things are strange to us.But, you know that our prophet asked and ordered us to see the girl we are going to marry and talk to here ,with the attendance of her family.Beside, what do you mean by reducing the chances,do you want a man to marry a woman just because of her beauty only!!!!!!After marriage, they only thing that remains is good characters. So, what do you think? Or is there anything else.
