In this format, it is unfortunately the most likely religion to come to mind. Not that the assumption is correct, just that it falls prey to the law of averages. Unfortunately, people's ability to look beyond their own noses needs to be presented as a possibility. If you ask people to look further, generally they can. Expecting them too, however is like waiting for your dog to paper train itself. Humans will always choose the path of least resistance, and that usually means sticking with what is close and familiar.

Most people only view the world through their own set of glasses, Each just sees religion in their way. My religion is wicca, witchcraft to you who dont know about it. Its far older than christianity and much maligned but it is valid. To each their own.

I think because of the (way of thinking )used upto now in the thinking of human....

i.e book means my book,father means myfather,religion :myone,happy:not me,enemy:the evil one I know

the majority of people think in such way ( practical ) and they don't use (abstraction)
also ,some peoples(on a culture base not more) are being (piped) or created or modified , by media or any other way to think prgmatically and/or dogmatically
so be patient, just try to help others in changing their way of thinking,,,,sooner or later..humanity will discover this mistake and illuminati should do their best...that is all

Myopia. In America, it's generally assumed that you're Christian unless proven otherwise, simply because until fairly recently it was very unusual for someone to be of any other religion.

is like saying "fast food", the first thing most of us think about is "mcdonnalds"... even when we know there's wendy's, burger king, abby's, etc....

but it may be also because looots of religion questions are directed to christians, and most of them are to attack or criticise us, and we need to defend ourselfes... and some people may relate the category to our religion inconsciously because of it, but I personally don't get surprised at all when I see questions referring to other religions. i assume it's about christianity when the question includes the words "Bible" "Jesus" "christians", etc...

actually I think that the reason you get so many Christian responses is because mostly the christian want to brag about their beliefs to the world, them and johovas witnesses are the only religion trying to recruit people
