She was in the Garden by the tree when the serpent came and tempted her to eat from it. It was Eve's fault that she ate from the tree, even though it was the devil who tempted her. God had plainly told them to eat from any tree from the garden, except for the tree of knowledge.

It wasn't forbidden for her to approach the tree. It was forbidden for her to eat its fruit. Maybe she was awed by the power of a tree that could kill.

The culprit isn't God. He created paradise and told the two inhabitants what the rules were, they broke the rules, so he kicked them out. That doesn't make him a culprit, it makes him a responsible ruler. Anyway, you forgot Adam and The Snake.

And, No, Everything is not preplanned. If your a manager then you may have a fair idea what your staff are doing. It doesn't mean you approve of what they do, it only means you know what they are up to. Its the same here. God knew what Adam & Eve where up to, but he had given them free will, and so allowed them to make judgements for themselves. He knew some of their choices would be wrong, but also knew most of them would be right.

This is explained in the Bible book of Genesis.
I would encourage you to read the first few chapters of this book, it's very interesting!

The reason Eve ate fruit from the forbidden tree was because Satan the Devil used a snake to trick her. Satan used this snake like a puppet, talking to her through it.

Satan challenged God's sovereignty by telling Eve that God had lied to her and Adam.

God had originally told Adam & Eve that if they ate from the forbidden tree, that they would grow old & die - losing their opportunity to live forever in Paradise. When they sinned, they passed their imperfection on to their offspring (which is why we grow old & die today).

Satan twisted his words and told Eve (through the snake) "you will positively NOT die" and he went on to tell her that if she ate the fruit, she would become like God, knowing good from bad. So Eve ate the fruit and gave some to Adam as well.

There is no evidence in the Bible to prove or disprove predestination. God prophesy's and then causes His prophecies to be fulfilled, but our lives are not predestined.

Many people ask - "Why didn't God destroy Adam & Eve and create a new human couple?"
The reason for this is because Satan's challenge needs to be answered. God wants mankind to see Satan as a liar, and that we cannot rule the world without God's help.

This has already been proven.
Look around the world today. It has become a disgusting, ruined hate-filled place. Scientists around the world conclude that if mankind continues down their destructive path, the world will no longer be able to sustain life.

We need God to step in and help. He will do this very soon when all wickedness in the Earth will be destroyed, including Satan and his demon followers.

I hope this answers your question.

Cheers
Jen

Satan tempted Eve, and she ate from the tree by her own free will. Things are not preplanned like many church leaders teach. The Bible says that we make our own choices and that these choice affect our future (Deuteronomy 30:19)

God gave Adam and Eve specific instructions not to eat from the tree. Eve knew this and she even repeated the command when questioned by Satan. The sentence of death pronouced for the rebels was on account of their own actions, and not part of a plan.

The story of Adam and Eve is a poem and it is of no use to discuss a poem, it leads nowhere.
Secondly: the Culprit, the mankind always seek a scapegoat why?
Third: Do not read the Bible by the letters, it was never meant for that and the translations to modern languages are constantly under discussion. It is full of mistranslations.

I know one thing for sure, it is not the mistake of Eve by herself, both Adam and Eve ate from the tree, without one of them to be blamed more than the other.
Old Books written by some people, like some of the present bibles, would blame it on Eve only, and as such, uses this incidence to degrade Eve....This is Wrong.

God is the culprit. God is all knowing, it knew that Eve would eat the apple, Eve had no choice.

Satan tempted Eve by lying to her and making her doubt God's words and motives.
But, Eve made the conscious choice to disobey even though she knew better.
Adam is to blame as well, for the same reason.
I have often wondered why God gave Adam and Eve a choice. I have come to believe that it was because He didn't want a bunch of robots, He wanted His creation to consciously choose to love Him back. I beleive that God has a master plan as well as ideal plans for each of us, but our sinfullness and pride often keep those plans from coming into their full potential.

When God created Adam and Eve they were lived in complete holiness and had no desire to sin or disobey at all. However, Eve sinned because she was drawn into temptation by the devil. She had a will of her of to refuse. But the problem is this, if you hang around and listen to temptation too long eventually you will fall into it, just like today. God knew that the devil would come around and tempt Eve, but He also knew that Eve had it in her to obey His voice. The book of James 1:12 says this, "When people are tempted, they should not say, "God is tempting me. Evil can not tempt God, and God Himself does not tempt anyone. But people are tempted when their own evil desire leads them away and traps them. This desire leads to sin, and then the sin grows and brings death". Consider this, the angels in heaven were created perfect and holy, yet some of them were drawn away but their own lust and desire and left their heavenly homes to come live on the earth. Yes, even the angels in heaven are subject to temptation, but have the choice to resist.

It just seems when you tell someone anything is a nono, thats what they want to do right away. Thats what happened to Eve. Im sure if God knew everything he would know she would fail him. If there is a god and there was an eve.

They're both guilty. God is guilty of giving us free will and access to to knowledge, and Eve was guilty of breaking the law. Eve took the fruit because it is human nature to want to know things, even when a higher authority says that we must not know--especially then.
