well, first you should get to know the guy. I've gone out with people that I didn't know and it was terrible. Then it will evolve from there on its own if you let it.
and about all those people saying your too young, I think dating when your a teenager is a very healthy and natural thing to do. Don't sweat it, 13 is a good age to start dating.

You NEVER ask a guy out, and you are only 13!!!! If you don,t want to find yourself in big trouble, in so many ways, you best rethink the whole idea!!!!! Enjoy being a kid while you can because being an adult is not all that!!!!

Do whatever. Just remember, whatever you do, it probably won't matter in a week. And it definitely won't matter in 10 years. When you'll be 23. And will still be very young.

rather than expectations ... just ask to do something socially ... like go down to the local ice cream deal .... then if he likes you he will ask for the next date ...peace little lady
