Being overwieght means that u have more fats in your body than u need.

U can make an unscientific guess by looking at your stomach, if it is hanging out, Man u r overweight (may be even obese)

U can make a scientific guess by looking at calculating your height and then finding out the ideal weight for that height from a Mass Body index found in nutrition books or at WebMD website, and then compare it with your own weight to c if u r over or under weight

BMI, or Body Mass Index, is generally a good tool to use to see if you are overweight. The problem with using the BMI formula is that is doesn't calculate muscle into the equation. The best way to determine if you are overweight and by how much is to use a 3-way method. Use a pair of body fat cailpers(or body fat analyzer), a scale, and the BMI formula. This will give you your best idea of body fat % and body composition.

Obesity is measured with a body mass index (BMI), a measure of body fat based on height and weight. Individuals with a BMI of 25 to 29.9 are considered overweight, while individuals with a BMI of 30 or more are considered obese

You should check your BODY MASS INDEX (BMI). To calculate your BMI find your height in meters and your weight in killograms. Now devide your weight by square of your height. If it is less than 28 you are ok. Your are neither overweight nor obese. For more information Pls refer to AHA web site.

Look up your Body Mass Index. They have calculators on the web. You put in your height and weight and it will give you a score. I think there is one on WebMD.com.
