I assume you've read the Wikipedia entry on it, that might be of help. Otherwise, I'll just leave the original question for someone else to answer.

Ogden Nash was not a Baha'i. I have no idea where the idea came from. It appears that, like many artists of the 20's and 30's, that he attended some Baha'i functions. But I have never seen any scholarly evidence that he ever joined or was seriously interested.

Regarding sex, all forms of sexual activity outside of marriage between a man and a woman are prohibited.

Violence is generally condemned. However provision is made for war; e.g. when a country invades another. And if violently attacked, a person is permitted to defend themselves. The possession of fire arms for personal defense is discouraged except in those areas of the world where there is no effective police force.

I had a friend in college who was bahai. He telling me that really he does not believe in Religion nor there actually being a god. Neither does he use or take goverment assisted medical care. I can't really remember the rest without beginning a lie so I'll stop there.

Bahai is basically unitarianism taken to the next level.

Every religious belief is accepted, and any religious practice is great. As such of course it can take no faith seriously, and disparages tehm all by suggesting that they are all one. It likes to appear vaguely indian... which makes sence given teh religious pluralism in india.

It is the ultimate faith of hippie retreads.

It's a very corrupt version of Islam, that it became a complete different religion. Like Christians and Mormons.

It's a man made religion, not from God.

One thing for sure , they have nothing to do with Islam.
In fact, I was told they are anti-Islam.
I would not worry about them much.
