When you say you aren't really into your faith, are you sure it is YOUR faith?
First, believing in God and going to church is good, but that doesn't get you a personal relationship with God.
The Bible says that in order to become God's child, the blood of Jesus must cover your sins. What does that mean? It means that when you sin, which everyone does, the only payment to justify God's holiness is death. (Rom. 6:23)
The good news is that God sent Jesus His Son and the only One who could possibly live a sinless life, to die in your place.
So if you believe that Jesus' payment was sufficient to cover your sins and that there is nothing you can do to get to heaven on your own, you become adopted into God's family and can have a personal relationship with Him.
I am so glad that I have made the decision to accept Jesus' sacrifice!!!

If you have truly accepted this in your own life...
You are wrong when you say "once I grow older I will be a good Christian."
Once you start going downhil, it takes effort to get back up, it doesn't automatically happen. Like gravity...

You say you want forgiveness and you hope He will accept you.
If you have accepted Him like I mentioned above, He has already accepted you!!!! He has already forgiven your sins and every sin you will ever commit, and is just waiting for you wake up and admit what you've done so that your relationship with Him will be restored!
If you haven't, you need to accept Him first. Just admit you have sinned and ask Him to forgive you!!
"If we confess[admit and turn away from] our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"!! I John 1:9.

By just asking for it. God died on the cross so that your sins could be forgiven. All you have to do is accept him into your heart and ask that he forgives your sins. He'll always accept you for who you are, but you need to make more of an effort to follow in his light. That's all he asks for, is that you merely attempt to follow his path, and live how it says to in the Bible.

Make an effort to find a church in your community and talk to a pastor or someone that you can relate to about your problems. I know that when I first when to my church, finding people similar to me and facing the same issues really helped me follow in the way that God wanted me to. I hope this helps a little.

The word of the living GOD say's this about forgiveness in 1st John chapter 1 verse 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrightousness. Also read the story of the protical son in Luke chapter 15 versus 11-16 REMEMBER ALWAYS! Romans 8 versus 1 There is therfore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. I pray you recieve this word from your GOD and Father who loves you. May the blood of Jesus cover every aspect of your life. Amen.

To ask for forgiveness you have to repent. I think that God just wants you to truely be sorry and from your heart to ask for forgiveness. Try your best not to sin. We are sinners however and we will always sin. Once youve seen that youve made a mistake sincerely ask for forgiveness and God will always forgive you. Dont knowingly sin alot just because you know God will forgive you though. Really try your best to keep a strait path. Thats all He's asking for.

God is forgiving—but only to those who repent of their sins. Have you ever repented of your sins?

If you died right now, where would you go?" If you say Hell or don't know, doesn't that concerns you that you could be heading for hell? Is it possible that you will not wake up tomorrow? Yes, it is possible. If it does concern you, What are you going to do? God commands you to repent and trust the Savior.

You life is valuble. God is not willing that you perish, and neither am I. Perhaps, you, like me, never had an a complete understanding of WHY you needed to repent. You cannot define what sin is (the biblical definition), and thus, you don't understand your need for the Savior and continue to practice all kinds of sins. Jesus said that many would come to Him on the day of judgment saying "Lord, Lord" (people who know His name) but He WILL say to them "depart from me for I never knew you, you workers of lawlessness." Please don't wait to be sure of your eternal salvation. You will die and spend eternity somewhere. I hope to see you in heaven one day!

Just talk to Him as if He were sitting next to you and say God please forgive me of my sins. It doesn't have to be an elaborate prayer for Him to hear you. God will still accept you! I don't go to church as often as I should but I know that He still loves me!

Well it matters. If you're a Catholic, then Go to CONFESSION. Although, if ur not a Catholic, then,
Say these prayers.

PRAYER BEFORE RECONCILIATION
Come Holy Spirit into my soul. Enlighten my mind that I may know the sins I ought to confess, and grant me Your grace to confess them fully, humbly and with contrite heart. Help me to firmly resolve not to commit them again.

O Blessed Virgin, Mother of my Redeemer, mirror of innocence and sanctity, and refuge of penitent sinners, intercede for me through the Passion of Your Son, that I may obtain the grace to make a good confession.

All you blessed Angels and Saints of God, pray for me, a most miserable sinner, that I may repent from my evil ways, that my heart may henceforth be forever united with yours in eternal love. Amen...

AN ACT OF RECONCILIATION
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You. I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell.

But most of all because they offend You, my God, Who are all good and deserving of all my love.

I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. Amen...

then you tell God all your sins and ask for forgivness. You must really mean it though, and truly want forgivness, only then can you be forgiven.

PRAYER AFTER RECONCILIATION
My dearest Jesus, I have told all my sins to the best of my ability. I have sincerely tried to make good confession and I know that you have forgiven me.

Thank You, dear Jesus!

Your divine heart is full of love and mercy for poor sinners. I love You, dear Jesus; You are so good to me.

My loving Saviour, I shall try to keep from sin and to love You more each day.

Dearest Mother Mary, pray for me and help me to keep all of my promises. Protect me and do not let me fall back into sin.

Dear God, help me to lead a good life. Without Your grace I can do nothing. Amen...

Then you say many prayers such as The Our Father, and The Hail Mary. IF you do not know these, it's not hard to find them. Now these prayers I have given you are what you say if you're a Catholic going to confession, but even if you're not, you can still say them. Now, that is how you ask for forgivness and repent.

Just get on your knees and really talk to God, he loves the tears of the sinners. He waits for their coming back. Be sure he'll accept you, if you are honest with him.
