The movie is superman. She says it's not for her, but I just wanted her company. Am I being selfish or is she?

No, a relationship is built on give and take. She is being selfish.

You only went out with her twice. Maybe if you were married 5 years or more you could ask her to go see a movie only you like. But for now be glad she is telling you her opinion and respect it. I'm sure there are movies the both of you enjoy. so don't put your foot down, unless you want to see the movie more then be with her.

Dating is all about discovering things about each other to see if you want to have a deeper relationship.
So ... it's working ... you are seeing things about her, and she about you ... and it may be that you aren't well-suited to each other. It's not so much about who is or isn't being selfish, but about what are you learning, and is she someone with whom you really want to consider having a relationship with?
Only you can answer that.
(P.S. ... don't think attitudes will change over time ... mostly they don't)

people have likes and dislikes..... and at the initial stages of love (if that is what you are trying to do with her....) both the people have to compromise.... its not that you just have to keep sacrificing...
mitr says, to solve out these type of differences, you have to chuck the plan of movie as of now... and think of other ways of being together with her.... girls get mature faster than guys... try to watch the movie of her interest... its not that you are going to dislike it... do you????

You could always compromise, pick a movie you'd both like to see.
