I've asked this question. Want to ask it again. As a Christian, I have to deal with people who do not know Christ. They do not understand this philosophy. So, please tell me about the salvation in a very PRACTICAL manner. Talk about our very LIFE ON EARTH, rather than the eternal life. Do not talk about sacrifices, lambs, and quote Bible verses. Atheists say that many people die, even the death of Christ hasn't saved us from anything, there is no peace in this world. What should be told to them? Obviously, they cannot be dealt in an abstract manner.

No its not that athiests can not be dealt with in an abstract manner its usually Christians who are close minded. Most christians are taught that if you question what you are told then you are going against god...but for thoes of us who have actually questioned what we were taught we come to some very scary conclusions about the origins of religion. I was actually an ordained Minister until I looked into where the bible actually came from and who Jesus really was...not from a biblical standpoint but from a historical one. If you wanna talk to me more about this then feel free to send me an Email. Rnwbman@yahoo.com...im not trying to get you to stop believing but I want you to try seeing things from a differnt perspective.

Actually Jesus can not save others. He was saved by Allah Almighty by taken away to Alam Barzah a waiting room in the sky to take a rest until Kiamat or the day of resurrection. The crucified person was not Jesus. He was a man as he were Jesus in appearance.Jesus can not save his followers.Logically each person was accounted for his/her conduct himself/herself.Jesus himself asked help from Allah Almighty. He was only a messenger and prophet with some mirecles.Jesus was not the son of Allah.Allah is only one no wife or husband,no parents and no child.Jesus was the same with other prophet e.g Nuh,Daud,
Musa,Muhammad etc. Jesus was a human being....

Since Adam the forefather of us all, had rebelled against God. His lawless act thus made him a sinner, sin is lawlessness.(1John3:4; 5:17) As a result, he was not worthy of receiving God's gift ofeverlasting life.(Romans6:23)So Adam lost for himself perfecthuman life on a paradise earth. He also lost this wonderful prospect for all the children he would produce. 'But why, you may ask.did all his children have to die since it was Adam who sinned?'
This is because Adam when he became a sinner, passed sin and death on to his children, including all humans now living.(Job14:44; Romans3:23; 1Kings8:46)People, therefore, have been dying because of the sin that was inherited from Adam. How was it possible, then, for the sacrifice of Jesus' life to free all people from bondage to sin and death?
A legal principle in God's law for the nation of Israel is involved. It states that 'life should be given for life.'(Exodus21:23; Deutronomy19:21) By his disobedience the perfect man Adam lost perfect life on paradise earth for himself and all his children. Jesus Christ gave his own perfect life to buy back what Adam lost, he gave himselfa corresponding ransom for all(1Timothy2:5,6)Because he was a perfect man, even as Adam had beenJesus is called the last Adam.(1Corinthians15:45)No human other than Jesus could have provided the ransom. This is because Jesus was the only man who ever lived that was equal to Adam as a perfect human son of God. (Psalm49:7 /Luke 1:32; 3:38).
Jesus died at 331/2 years of age. At that time the ransom was paid to God in heaven, Deliverance was now available for humankind. But when will its benefits be realized?
Even now Jesus'ransom can benefit us, How? By excercising faith in it we can enjoy a clean standing before God and come under his loving tender care.(Revelation7:9,10) Many of us have committed terrible sins before we learned about God. And even now we make mistakes, sometimes very serious ones. But we can freely seek forgiveness from God on the basis of the ransom, with confidence that he will hear us.(1John2:1,2 1Corinthians6:9,11) Also in the days ahead,we can have God's gift of life on a of life on a righteous new world.(2Peter3:13)At that time all those exercising faith in the ransom will be released from bondage to sin and death.the scriptures are there for you to look up and get a further understanding and so you can know where these things are in the Bible. I hope that helps you!

its so sad to know that there are christians who just accept the fact that Jesus saved us by the way of cruxificion, because their pastors says so. dig deeper guys!

heres a simple illustration to show you how & why he saved us.
the earth is full of sins & sinners, to begin with, Adam & Eve were the first couple to commit it, thats why they were thrown out of the Garden of Eden. then we have the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah. it was done to punish the sinners living there. then we have the story of Noahs Ark, 40 days & 40 nights of heavy rain, again to punish the sinners. Maybe just maybe, GOD the Father got tired of us sinners that he plannedor say considered on exterminating the earth and all its dweller. But because of Jesus Christ, he willingly sacrifice his life to save us again and again and again. Thru this, God the Father spare us mankind.

practical ok..
one day i will die and will be in God's judgement court. God will be seated on the judges place.i will be in a prisoners box. a lawyer named satan will tell the Judge of all bag things i had done and will compell the Judge by saying that "by your own law this prisoner should be handed over to be whipped, beaten to death." God who is the just judge has to pass judgement for my soul to be destroyed in hell. At that very moment another lawyer will appeal his name is Jesus! Jesus will say "this person knew Me, worshiped Me, believed in Me and had repented for his sin while on earth. he is Mine. I was killed and crucifed without any fault on mine (unblemished lamb was required to be sacrified as sin offering) I have conqured death by rising again. I give my life in exchange to this persons life so the law is met." now i will be saved of all my punishment and hell because Jesus paid for me in full. I will then enter Heaven. There is no other than Jesus the saviour. Jesus came to fulfill the law. He had to be without sin (unblemished lamb)

The concept that Jesus died to take away our sins makes no sense because the bible says everyone is born a sinner. How is he to save us by dying?

Q
Christian: Jesus died for the sins of man.
A
Hindu:
God is all-powerful so he can give on the spot liberation to anyone, he doesn’t need to send his son to death.
Jesus did not volunteer to be crucified he was forced. There were thousands who were crucified; did they also die for the sins of man?
When the criminal Christians stand in court for their judgment, can they say to the judge
‘Hang Jesus, he will pay for my sins”? Would the judge accept this?
As stated in the Bhagavad-Gita, God is the supreme controller. Not a blade of grass can move without him. God is equal to all, know-one suffers for no reason and know-one enjoys for no reason. We suffer and enjoy according to our past actions (karma). Each person is responsible for his own karmic actions. Karmic actions are not transferable.
If man can live a life of sin and get away with it as Jesus will be paying for it. Then why bother being good, and with religion and God?
Jesus was crucified due to his own actions in life and not for the sins of man. Jesus himself said ‘as you sow so shall you reap’. Jesus unfortunately sowed enemies and had to pay for it with his life.
