I'd go for the latter, Perv.

Still love your avatar. What country do you live in? Your avatar should be recognised as a national emblem. Although it is starting to look like a Teletubbie.

Robb10036, think. Use your head; the answer will come quite easily.

depends on a number of factors...

- is the context of the verse considered?
- does the verse wielder know what the verse REALLY means?
- does the verse pertain to the situation from the wielder AND wieldee's points of view?
- is the wielder quoting the bible with a sense of humility and in order to help another?
- is the wieldee also a christian who takes the bible seriously?

if the answer to all these questions is yes then i'd say positive pearls, positive points, and 0 punches.

if the answer to any of these questions is no, i'd say that definitely means less points in score and either zero or negative pearls. punches is prolly 0 or positive.

if the answer to ALL of the questions is no, then i'd say 0 or negative pearls (depends on the wielder's heaven bound status), only the points you get for answering a ?, and more punches - assuming that either the wielder and wieldee are in close proximity or you are taking figurative punches into account.

the monkey doesn't like verses because the monkey can't read.
the above is why the atheists hate verse throwing.
but seriously, questions about the bible are a good thing.
if you don't know then ask.
but if people would read the thing they wouldn't have to ask so much, but that's still good because a lot of people who read it don't comprehend everything and need to ask; and a lot of those people don't want anyone to know that they read the bible so this is a perfect place for them to ask.
hey pervey pirate, excuse my long windedness
