makes you think?! medical science has no idea at the "holding" capacity of the human brain. several things effect our ability to learn and retain the information before our eyes....... birth defects, organic conditions and disease, environmental damage ie: trauma, drugs, toxins that damage receptor cells and the Milan and even your interest in the subject can affect your "uptake". And unfortunately you can just add more RAM to make up for it. It would be cool if you could have a usb port placed and just pop in a flash drive for the mcats and Mensa applications......I'll get working on it right now!

The human mind is far more complex than a computer and can hold information far beyond the capacity of any computer...or computers combined...the mind stores information not being used as much in the back part of the brain (kind of like how a computer compresses files not being used to make more room) then when you don't act upon those thoughts that are back in the mind they tend to leave your mind...but if you continue to refresh yourself i am sure that you won't have any problem at all remember numerous amounts of information

yea, it has a limit. Some manual skills can be retained for life, like bycicle riding or playing the guitar. After you get a little rusty for too long a period of no practice, it'll just take a little retry and all comes back. This kind of information is stored in like, the virtual hard drive of your brain. Concepts, principles, psychology tend to get stuck for a very long time. They dont get erased, only changed.
However, things that you usually memorize, like a maths formula or a structure of a chemical compound, you can lose very easily. For example, I did my alevel exams november last year and as of now I've already forgotten about 80% of what i studied. Which is sad, really.

Normal a human brain uses only a fraction of what it can really utilize. With good techniques you can utilize your brain to your maximum if you want too. You mayu tire of it, but your brain will still have some capacity left.

Ingulge in regular mentalexercises and memory teasers; definetely as days pass by,your brain capacity will increase and you will be able to hold out more

Your brain is able to hold much much more information then you will ever be able to take in. But the ability to recall this information may be a challenge.
