I always tell people not to feel guilty about the feelings they still have for the guilty party. We are all human and guilty of harboring feelings for those who don't necesarrily deserve it. The most important thing is to always be honest with yourself and stay true to your "feelings"; however, at the same time you have to also make the right decision in the process. I gaurantee this will keep you from going insane. If you have a moment of weakness and call or have sex with them again just tell yourself that it was what your physical self needed but mentally you know you deserve better. Chalk it up to a booty call and keep moving on. Don't start letting your mind wonder into romantic thoughts of you and this person. We all tend to start lying to ourselves and brainwashing ourselves to the point where we believe this person is going to change. NOT!

Another thing that will help you keep your sanity is to start dating again. This will help get your mind off the other person. I am not saying jump into another relationhsip. I would not put myself in the postition of grabbing a rebound person, but, there is nothing wrong with making new friends. In no time at all (when I say no time I mean 6 mo's to a year) you will be completely over this person and maybe even ready to delve into a serious relationship again.

Everyone always says time will heal but they never take the time to explain just "how" the healing process takes place. While all this "time" is going by. This is exactly what you do. You put you first, never deprive yourself, make new friends, date, don't get into any so called serious relationships for at least 6 months and don't lie to yourself or feel guilty about anything that happens in between. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Just let go...don't focus on the cheating cuz it'll only hurt and anger you even more. It'll be hard to go on with your life but what helps me is that I keep busy..if it means that i have to take a vacation for two weeks just to get away for a little while then i do and believe me it helps. I also think about what ever is troubling me constantly until I get to the point where i've had enough of thinking about it that I don't want to deal with it anymore and you just get tired of the issue and then move on.
