it is not practical to lose 70 pounds in 3 months doing it in a good, healthy way. i'd give it more of 6-10 months.. going at 2-3 pounds a week.. dont go weighing yourself every minute, because you'll et discouraged. do it by how you feel. because if you're running, and doing situps.. it will add some muscle, and make you healthier... you'll lose more then 70 pounds of fat when you're done, but be more toned. you should be able to get about 30-40 pounds in 3 months at best probably.. im just going by personal experience.. also try to eat smaller portions, and eating vegetables and fruit as snacks, and as appetizers instead of suggary, or fatty foods.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

It is mostly NOT your fault, that you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) soon surpassing hunger and infectious disease. So you are a victim of this pandemic (epidemic).
You need to re-learn how to eat. Learn everything on site below so you can understand how food and exercise affects your body. Do this and you can be thin. Do this not, and you will remain part of the biggest pandemic in all of history. Due to this pandemic, for the first time in 100 years, the children of Americans have a lower life expectancy than their parents.

Figure out your BMR and what number of calories you need to devour a day, to lose 2-3 lbs every week. Begin to count calories, and do half-hour of cardio. Beautiful unhealthy to lose greater than 20 lbs a month until under a experts supervision. So with a STRICT caloric consumption and cardio four-5 occasions every week - i might say four to 5 months.

I lost 36 pounds in 3 and a half months, I did it healthily and feel great, you can't rush these things, if you go too quickly the weight will go back on very fast.
Good luck

in the first few weeks of diet AND EXERCISE it is normal to loose around 5lbs or so a weeks. it really depends on how overweight you actually are. for an average person it is healthy to loose about 2lbs per week and this would be about what your weight gain would level off at.

I've always heard it should be no more than 2lbs/week. Using that number...
70/2 = 35 weeks
35 weeks = approx. 6 1/2 months
Good luck to you.

The slower the better for long term success. Remember, no fasting or fads. Just burn more calories than you consume and the weight will naturally lower.
