I am assuming that your question means that you want to get closer to your mother. As a distant mother, I know that I would thank God for any communication from my daughter.

Not who...it's a typo, right? How to get closer to your mother....Again, one of those questions that I think the individual who is asking the question should know best. Sit down and think. Are you helpful ....do you tell or show how much you appreciate her...I'm very close to my Mom...my older sis isn't...what they have is a love/hate situation. Why? Because my sister humiliates and criticizes our Mom any chance she gets.
Your Mom must be a good person...otherwise the desire to be closer to her wouldn't be present,...right? So, think..."Why are you guys not close?"...and "What can you do to change that?" She gave birth to you- for one thing...what have you done so far for her....other than whine maybe and avoid her...you can't have a closer relationship with someone, if you avoid him/her. Spend time with each other...talk to each other...ask more often about her opinion....not to accept it as yours, but just so you know how she thinks and to show interest in an input from her.

How to be closer with your mother?Talk to her about things you done - in school,college,or job....Call her few times a week if you don t live with her....Go to lunch,or on ice-cream.....Invite to shop with you.....Probably nothing what she like for you,you don t like,but talk,talk,talk.....Meet her better and you be closer to her......
