I don't know where you got this bit of mis info. Maybe I'm not understanding your question right. I'll say this.

What we are supposed to want more than anything else is to love God with all of our heart, soul and mind. When Christ was asked he said this was the greatest commandment. And the second was to love our neighbor as yourself. So basically we should put ourselves last. Do we do it? Sometimes, but not as well as we should. What do you expect, were sinners.
But when we get to heaven we will be in the presence of the one and only God who created all things. I don't really think you'll be interested in whether or not you have the latest toy or gadget. Everything else will be so meaningless then. The best analogy my tired mind can come up with is an old toy from your childhood. It may have fond memories but you've out grown it. So will be your worldly possessions. Hope this helps.

Who's Heaven Are You Referring To?

Like 72 virgins? :)

Excellent question and one that shows the inconsistencies within religion. I like to think that the basic tenets of Western religions have been "dumbed down" for mass consumption. It is pretty hard to promote a philosophy unless you can show some kind of reward for your efforts. And most people relate better to images of physical debauchery than to spiritual well being.

Heaven is Heaven. It's supposed to be the perfect world for the imperfect people.

rewards in heaven, yes there will be rewards, and yes God does want all of us to live life to its fullest.

seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you...

i count it as wonderful that someone would call me a fool for believing in Gods Word.

if you do not understand the Bible, honestly pray for understanding... you will be amazed what will happen....

That is really an interesting concept. We go to heaven so we can indulge in the seven deadly sins to our hearts content. Wow, what a concept.

Heaven is unknowable. Everything on the other side of death is behind an impenetrable veil. Anything you think you know about heaven is speculation.

Oh no no no!

See that is where people are mistaken.....God wants you to have a good life now too!

It isn't just about the afterlife, it is about bearing the good fruit of the life we live right now as well!

God Loves YOU

The sins don't exist in heaven.
and it's not bad to want or need anything in this life.
God says "ask and you shall receive"
of course you shouldn't abuse that and ask for superficial things.
we can get those on our own, God will provide the rest.
