If God is so important why don't we read about Him all the time, or leave family behind and material conforts and go to the Hymalayas to meditate on Him, or do great penances in order to achieve Him, why not?

I can sense that God is everywhere, but why many of us speak about God, but we don't do great, or extraordinary things for Him, we keep saying, it is alright He loves u or o.k Jesus will save u, so then we don't do anything really extraordinary for Him why?

To find God, do good, be obedient to his work, His scriptures, you dont need the himalayas, if you can really remove the mount of sins in your heart; and yeah, penance is required too....whatever, a true christian wouldnt like to show what he does for his God and what he doesnt do, so please let us not judge, what other people are doing for their faith, and for Christ, let us instead concentrate more uipon what we want to do for him. Sometimes even the greatest penances get hidden from the eyes of man; but God who sees thema ll does reward them in his own way

God is so very important, but He has a different plan for each of us. Some of us are called to do His work in quiet or unseen ways that are just as important as the more visible means you describe. He loves us, working in and through us according to our gifts and talents. We can read about Him in the Bible any time we want...our worldly news organizations don't find Him newsworthy, but the Bible is fresh and relevant every time we read it. The more you read, the more you understand.

God requires genuine believers to obey His will. Is it possible that it may not be God's will to do any of those things you mentioned? Yes, it is.

My question is for you specifically, how do you know God loves you so much? Why do you need Him? You don't have to leave to find Him, He's right here amongst all of us as for doing great penances or leaving our families and friends or the comforts He provides for us.... He doesn't want or ask for that....you don't have to 'achieve' Him just ask.

I think we feel God inside our hearts and souls. We don't have to find him, because he is every where in our life and universe. If you don't feel Him inside you, you may need to reorganize your life.
