Moses didn't take ANY animals on the ark. Noah did! He took 2 of each.

As this is in "Jokes and Riddles", I imagine the joke is that Moses is mentioned instead of Noah.
As for the actual answer, it was either two or seven, depending what was being brought on the ark... as seen in Genesis 7.
"2. "You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female;
3. also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth."
