OK, so the story is if you commit suicide, you'll go to hell. But like what if you walked in to a police station and fired shots past cops' heads (not hitting anyone) and they all opened fire on you. OK so you're dead, but you didn't actually do it yourself. So would that count for eternal damnation or would you be good to go?

Or maybe if you paid someone to kill you when you least expect it? Hmmmmm....

Sure you'd go to hell but only after they prosecuted you for murdering yourself. Of course the real hell would be you'd be surrounded by lawyers clamoring to sue you for your own murder.

We don't go to Hell because of our actions, we go to hell because we decide we would rather spend eternity there than in paradise, ie:Heaven. The way we make that decision known is by the rejection of Christ. When we reject Christ and refuse to believe in Him then we decide our eternity. God does not send us anywhere...He gives us a choice.

Regarding suicide, that is a controversial issue, even within the "church". But if someone is to the point that they cannot see any way to heal their hurts besides suicide then they are probably not trusting in Christ completely, which is what He requires of us. So, if they have rejected Christ, then yes, they will go to Hell.
Otherwise, Only God knows our hearts...the Bible says that we can't even trust our own hearts because our heart will deceive us. So...Since God knows our heart then HE is the ONLY one that knows if we are headed to heaven or hell in the situation you described.

God knows each and everyone's intentions. If you walked into that police station intending for the police officers to shoot you dead, then yes that is called suicide. And that is a sin.

No I dont think so. To want to kill yourself you must have some fairly big mental issues that are out of your control. I'm not as certain as everyone else that God would hold a severly ill person accountable for thier actions. My preacher agrees.

The general idea is that YOU do not decide how or when you die, that is up to God. So if you deliberately force your death in any way, then no, you are not "good to go".

If you need help, there is counselling available, or try calling 1-800-SUICIDE. There are counsellors available 24hrs. I wish you all the best.

Part of my answer will be a question-Where does it say anywhere-that suicide is an unforgivable sin? CHRIST said that there is only one unforgivable sin and that is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost;-Suicide is a sin-a grievous sin but so is murder ,and fornication-the only difference is the being able to ask for forgiveness after.

It for sure kind of suicide, pre-meditated suicide.
Suicide is one of the great sins, and sends the "committed suicide" to Hell
In Islam, "Your Body" is not your property, it is the property of Allah, and you are in-trusted with looking after IT. Any in tensional or planed harm to this body is Haram, a sin.

If you bring about your own death, even 'suicide by cops' as in your example from what I understand about religion, you're gonna roast for a stunt like that. your motive would be to bring about your own demise at the hands of others, and it would be a rational act.

Only possible extenuating circumstance: insanity.

It's the intent that God sees not the actions my friends.

Or you can believe what the other nut job who has been spamming this message board and do anything immoral like rape, killing, robbing, theft and at the end, believe that God killed an innocent person (who happens to be God also) and you will be saved.
