What color is your hair? If it's light, this is easy as pie. If it's dark then you might need to bleach it first. It all depends on your hair color and what color you're trying for.
1. Boil water in a pot. PARENTAL SUPERVISION STRONGLY ADVISED!! Usually, the standard mix of making Kool Aid for drinking works (about a quart, use your own judgement, stronger color=less water).
2. Turn off the stove to let the water cool for a minute.
3. Add 1 packet (short hair) to 3 packets (super long and/or thick hair) of the Kool Aid color of choice into nearly boiling water so it dissolves.
4. For color that lasts longer, you can add a spoonful of white vinegar (the cooking variety) to the mix, but this is entirely optional.
STREAKS: Take the pot of water outside (it's SUPER staining, dont get it on ANY furniture!), then add it to the streak areas you'd like to be colored. If you've let the mix cool to shower temperature, then go ahead and dip those streak areas into the pot of water. Or you can use something like a wide paintbrush, but honestly the dipping method works best. Wrap color bits with saran wrap for as long as necessary (1 hour to overnight, again it's all about how strong you want the color to be, longer means stronger/vibrant color).
ALL OVER COLOR:
Dip your head into the pot of warm/slightly hot (NOT NOT NOT boiling, do I even have to say why?!) water. A friend would be great help at this point to help you get it all even. Again, doing this outside is a much better idea than inside. It will stain the tub and your clothing. Remember that! Cover with saran wrap. Tin Foil also works, whichever you have around is fine, but Tin Foil is loud and annoying, so Saran Wrap works for me.
5. Leave mix in your hair (which is now COVERED with Saran/Foil) for anywhere from an hour (blonde/light color) to overnight (dark hair).
6. Rinse, Shampoo, and condition as normal.
Remember this: The more you wash your hair, the quicker ANY dye comes out. Lighter hair ALWAYS means less color packets/less time to sit in your hair. And lastly, if your hair is really dark, bleach it first. Check the link below.
Good luck! Experiment, it's all fun and it's all temporary (well unless you go totally crazy, but be reasonable)

MINE WAS SUPER EASY!!!!!!
1. Get A Pot
2. Boil 3 Cups Of Water In The Pot
3. When Boiling Add 2 Cups Of Kool-Aid To The Boiling Pot
4. Stir The Kool-Aid In The Pot For 1 Min
5. When Throughly Stirred Pour The Kool-Aid Water In A Bowl
6. Then Dip The Hair You Want To Be Dyed Into The Bowl
( DONT LET THE HOT WATER TOUCH YOUR SCALP)
7. If You Have Light Colored Hair Dip In For 8 Minutes If You Have Any Other Dark Hair Color (Brown,Brunette, Hazel, Etc) You Will Need To Keep Your Hair In For 10-15 Minutes Depending On How Bright You Want It
8. When Done Dying Wipe Your Hair With A Towel
9. Brush It And DONE!!!!

Kool-aid works as a temporary hair color. You have to leave it in for a while for it to take. I recommend using conditioner instead of water. As long as you're leaving something on your hair, it might as well be something good for it! I'm not sure about the spray bottle. I always wore gloves and rubbed it into my hair. Put a packet or two of the unsweetened Kool-Aid (sweetened will leave you with a sticky mess) into about the amount of conditioner you'd normally use on your hair. Then you apply it to your hair. I used to do this at night, so I wouldn't have to deal with it all day. Just put a shower cap on after you put the mixture into your hair, and you won't have to worry about your pillow. When you rinse your hair, do it in the sink or bent over the tub, or you'll get it on your skin. Some colors might not show up well in your hair- but at least Kool-Aid is cheap enough to experiment and see what works for you!

You add a bit of water to the koolaid, so it's diluted enough to be kind of watery (about 1/2 a cup to a cup of water) then apply it to your hair...wait twenty minutes and wash it out...the colour doesn't get really bright though, and it fades to a blah colour very quickly. If you like funky streaks, buy a bingo dabber, and using a newspaper under your hair, so not to stain the table, brush your hair onto a table and dab your hair! The colour is INSANELY bright and funky! Have fun! : )

Get the koolaid package, Add a tiny bit of water, just enough to make it syrupylike, it will still be grainy though. I suggest wearing gloves. Take your hair, And pinch some of the koolaid in your fingers and rub through desired part of hair. If you have very blonde, or bleached hair it could potentially stain it however its unlikely. If you have colored sharpies they will do the same trick. however if you have blonde or bleached hair it will not come out with the first couple washes..

I boiled 2-3 cups of water with 2packets of Kool-Aid per cup of water so 6 packets I put there hair in side pony tails and stuck each ponytail in a cup of the solution left it in for hour then took it out and squeezed the liquid out and wrapped them with either aluminum foil or plastic wrap they slept over night with it then took them out the next day n washed the koolaid off. It mad we there hair dark n vibrant red even in the black hair we saw it and it lasted for many months then fully washed out

I've heard of mixing the un-sweeten packets of koolaid with a regular hair conditioner. Wet your hair, put the koolaid/conditioner paste on your hair, wrap in plastic and leave. The longer you leave it the brighter the color. Works better on light colored hair.
Make sure you use rubber gloves and petrolum jelly around your ears/forehead/neck so the koolaid doesnt dye your skin too.
