i'm dating this guy and he says he loves me for who i am but he is always telling me to lose weight, but i went to a party one day and a guy told me that he loves a woman with meat on their bone and that he really likes how i look. my boyfriend has never told me how good i look, all he do is tell to go to the gym. what should i do, go for the one that respect how i look and tells me how good i look or my boyfriend that always put me down?

Let me give you a piece of advice, and take it from the heart: I'm just going through a divorce from a man who never once paid me a compliment the whole time we were together, all he did was to say, you would be pretty if you lost weight, changed your hair, etc.
If he's this stingy with his compliments, take it from me, he's a lousy boyfriend and it won't get any better, because he's got a tiny, shrivelled up, cold heart, and he's also mean spirited. Don't you feel like you deserve better? Trust me, you do. I found someone who thinks of me as "voloptuous", not fat. Which one do you think I'm with? That's a no-brainer!
Do yourself a huge favor and dump this loser now! You'll be glad you did, there are so many warm and loving guys who will love you just like you are, but you won't find them while you're stuck with Mr. Wrong. Good luck!:)

One thing about hitting your head against a wall, is that it feels so good when you stop doing it.
Time for you to stop doing it too, go with the guy that likes you as you really are. Not someone, who your boyfriend would like you to be. If he wants one of those gym girls, let him go there and get one on his own.
Seems you have found someone who appreciates you, as you are really are.

Why would you want to stay with someone who is always putting you down irregardless of whoever else is telling you look good. Are you going to stay with the bozo whokeeps insulting you until he finds someone skinnier and then dumps you? I think that you should be happy with yourself first then worry about meeting someone.
