That is a sign of stress and an inability to find an appropriate outlet for anger. You need to see a doctor for more help.

Probably not my son used to bang his forehead on the floor when mad or frustrated.I asked the doctor about it and he said he would stop if it hurt too much and he was right he only did it for about 2months.Your daughter is probably going through an angry time or she gets frustrated and can't express herself and then she does what ever. Some kids scream,or hit out or throw stuff or themselves on the floor and kick. They all go through it until they can express themselves better. But there is a disorder that makes children and teens cut themselves or hit themselves,I 'm not sure what its called but they need help to stop this behaviour but your daughter is not doing that for that reason .Watch her and see that she will stop soon.Or check with your doctor.

My grandson bangs his head. He's a late talker, and his pediatrician says it's frustration at not being able to express himself. As his verbal skills are developing, the behavior is getting better.
Nonetheless, it won't hurt to speak with your daughter's doctor. At best, he or she can help you figure out ways to help her. At worst, the doc will say it's a problem and together you'll help her.

it is actually typically normal...when children find that they can't express their anger through words they take the frustration out on theirselves...the best thing to do is to love on the child...to show them that they don't have to be frustrated with theirself...yes you can take them to a doctor and pay out the **** to have them to basically tell you what you already know...thats what alot of doctors are good at: Charging for information you already know...
My 16 month cousin gets angry and hits her stomach or the furniture...whatever she can...or she also screams "HUH UH!" or her favorite " AHHH!! AAAAHHH!!"
It isn't much to worry about...just a stage..unless the child is actually putting marks on herself

I don't believe this is a normal behavior for a 15month old. Is there some stress in the family between any one ie you or your mate? Or a sibling. I would seek your family Dr's advice

This is NOT normal.....get her to her doctor ASAP.....she may have a very serious medical issue and the sooner you find out about it and deal with it the better. I assure you, if you ignore it....like all problems, it will only get worse.
