Elect new Politicians that do handle the problem

We can and we are making a difference by all our belly aching about this issue. Each one of us can make a difference. Cut your own lawn. Diaper your own baby. Try and hire US citizens before you go looking for some illegal.
Don't do business with businesses that hire or use folks that appear illegal. Or ask about it and mention that the work force doesn't speak very good English. Why is that? Are they legal? Press biz owners responsibly and tell em' you ain't going to eat there as much or at all cuz the guy down the street hires US citizens. Put your money where your mouth and heart are.
Write your reps in government and tell em' your fed up and your voting them out if the situation isn't rectified soon, and then DO IT. Send the do nothing, good for naughts out! Get some people in who will do something. Write Jeff Sessions, Sen. from Arkansas (?)THis guy is death on illegal immigration. THis man is asking the right questions and doing what the rest should be doing. Support this guy and those like him.
Don't let illegals get away with their crimes. When bad stuff happens and an obvious illegal is involved, insist on them being rounded up and deported. Pitch a fit if you have to. I'm in the middle of doing this right now and I can tell you, the officials involved are very nervous about how they look, not doing their jobs properly. You should see them skuttle to cover their own butts. This approach will work.
These illegal folks are finished here. We are winning but we must continue to demand our rights to law and order. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
Do something in your own life. Some little thing to set things right. Think about it. YOU ALL can do some small thing to help us remove the illegals and return our country to some semblance of balance and sanity rather than this lawless chaos of illegal immigration. Now is the time to act!

First if you are a forth generation American or more you qualify under the heritage act to claim your federal tax exempt status. If allot of Americans did it, our government would put on the breaks so fast with the border, and illegals issues, it's not funny. You can get the form to become federally tax exempt at the IRS office. It is not hard, and it costs nothing.
Secondly, we have got to start reporting businesses that use these criminals services. There are already very strick laws on the books to address this problem, but too much greese has been put on the wheel, and our equal opportunity employement laws went right out the window. However, if citizens start making complaints with homeland security, and the NIS, which can all be done annomously(Probably not spelled right, but close enough) Darn, spell check error, won't work.
Anyway, the third thing that needs to be done is the good citizens need to start keeping a closer watch on our wealthier friends, and let them know that if they businesses that are operated by illegals for the house cleaning, and landscaping work, they will be reported for aiding a criminal.
The forth thing is to report the landlords that provide them housing, as well as reporting at least an estimate of how many are living in the house. They usually stuff them to over flowing, but some don't. You know those neighborhood watch programs that we used to use to discourage crime would work pretty well in this case.
Then last but not least, Americans have to stop going to their restuarants, small second hand shops, and other business services they provide. Everyone that goes out into their community knows which businesses are not being run by immigrants that have gone through the proper immigration process. Most speak fairly good English, and they are aware of our laws, as is part of the reason that it takes so long to become an immigrant in America.
If they speak poor English, doubt, if they speak little to none, you know.
Many will be deported, and others will begin to either leave on their own, or turn themselves in for deportation.
Americans support these criminals with more than just our tax dollars, and if we want it to stop, we are going to have to start making sure law enforcement deals with it.
If they don't deal with it, sue them.

Please stop picking on Mexicans. There are illegal immigrants here from every country in the western hemisphere; Haitians, Jamaicans, Trinidadians, etc. Every country. Harping on the Mexicans is strictly a political issue, raised to get people riled up in favor of the agenda of a specific political party, and forget the fact that thousands of young Americans are dying in a country that had zero involvement in 9/11. Last presidential election, it was Gay Marriage. They're still getting married in MA, ther is no consititutional amendment, the government dropped it the second they won the election. Same thing here; if anyone in the government mention illegal immigrants one day after Election Day, I will be shocked.

You can't get rid of them. They are a vital part of the economy as hundreds of companies that employ them either cannot, or refuse, to pay real wages to American workers. The cheap EMPLOYERS are the real problem, not the poor Mexican workers. They are filling a demand for cheap labor. Would you take $3 an hour (or less) to do any job?

The current government does not REALLY want to get rid of cheap illegal labor; it would cut into the profit margins of their financial supporters.

Well do what Mexico does!

They go out in the streets and shut down major arteries and PROTEST. Go to your major cities and shut down main freeways and cause a big pain in the a$$, maybe that will get their attention. Although as you can see it really hasn't done much for that country.

But what are you asking? Its open season on all illegals? What are you going to do, ask them to show proof of citizenship? And how do you know if someone is illegal. The government wouldn't allow that, its racial profiling....

Its a NO win situation. I really don't get all the hysteria on this board....

When you eliminate the source of jobs then you eliminate the need that brings them here. The key is not to go after the Illegals but the people that hire them and create the need for them. Once the jobs dry up and they can't find work then they will have no choice but to return back home.

The laws do need to change. I believe IF people want to come to America and work, they should have to pay taxes just like us. America is a boiling pot. We want the diversity.I think our government needs to stop saying that the Mexicans are doing jobs that the Americans won't do!!! A Mexican got the job my Mom had at Harley Davidson. Harley took it from my Mom and gave it to them. Just like Ford is doing to Norfolk! This is Greed. The root of the problem lies with the company, not Mexico. This is why for years ,people were concerned with "American Made". Buy things from companies who hire Americans! Vote for people who care!

That's a tough question.

To answer your question, yes, one solution would be to go after the companies, factories, restaurants, or farm owners who hire illegal immigrants.

However, the US need the farm workers to work in the fields, and unfortunately, many of them are illegal immigrants. Without them, which American is willing to work in the agricultural fields?

Legal immigrant who come to the USA do not want to work in the agricultural fields, and many legal immigrants highly skilled workers who are engineers, computer scientists, nurses, businessmen/business women, etc... and they don't want to work in the fields.

Therefore, you many be able fix the illegal immigration problem, but you are definately going to have another problem: How to supply cheap labor so that all Americans can buy something really cheap.

Is it a bigger problem? I don't know.

There are local governments that are starting to address this issue across the nation such as Hazleton, PA as well as San Bernadino, Calif.; Canyon County, Idaho; Cobb County, Ga.; and Milford, Mass., who are also going after people who employ or house illegal immigrants.

How to stop illegals if the fed's won't address the problem? LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

#1, they are NOT! helping the economy. You pose a great question. Why our government, who we elected, chooses to let illegals storm our country is beyond me???? Other than our commitment in iraq, this issue should be first and foremost, yet it is not? I like you, worry about this on some level every day. Why dont we take action to stop illegal crossings? I know i didnt answer your question, but i am a confused as you are.
