nvg's............i dont know the technicalities of how but i know that it picks up the little bit of light that there is out there and it magnifies it so u can see more...its weird coz im in the army and when i use them and have the cover over the lens...u can still see. the cover is solid and black. so yea lil homie, theyre pretty powerful.

They take existing light and electronically magnify it thousands of times to give you a picture of what is in front of you. Currently, NVG's are being replaced by infrared based NVG's which don't need light, but can use it if it's available.

They are sensitive to IR light or just amplify light. Infra Red goggles need an IR flashlight or other light source usually mounted to the goggles.

by allowing you to see in the dark.I have a pair VERY EXPENSIVE! There is actually two types.Heat gathering or light .The light are better.

They pick up as much light as possible and yeah i think so.
