i have long hair and i want to get it cut...?

ive never had short hair my whole life cuz i cant stand the look but i do want to get it trimmed and restyled maybe... does anyone have any sites that has some cute hair cuts??

having a short hair isnt bad remember that mandy moore short hairstyle? i got my long hair cut like that and i was satisfied with the result and realized that i looked great even with a short hair and my friends even called me mandy. now i have a long hair and i want to curl it up someday. if you want to trim your hair or style it just make sure that your hair easily grows longer if not then you have to think twice and if you really want it then just do it and dont think what others will say

I have the same problem. To change up my hair style, I got mine trimmed a few inches off the bottom, then got it layered. That way I can keep my long hair, but have some short hair at the same time. It's great and I got lots of compliments on it. Even my fiance's brother said it looks sexy!

Word of advice, I had my long hair cut short/just for a change. I felt bald almost. My new cut was easy to style, just shake and go. I hated it and missed my long hair. So just take off a few inches at a time. Maybe try a more layered cut for volume and a highlight. If you cut too much and you don't like it, growing it back takes a long time.

I'm going to suggest something to you after watching a friend do the exact same thing you are about to do. She had never had short hair. She chopped it all off and that night she came over to my house in tears. If you have never had short hair gradually cut it shorter. That way you can slowly get used to dealing with short hair. Try a shoulder length cut. And if you want to go shorter then go shorter.

Is a good sight for several cuts. remember not to go to short, and ask your stylist what cut will work well fo your for your hair texture. It takes an average of 3 days to get use to a new look so give it a chance.

I'm in the same boat, but then again, I'm a dude. So maybe not the same boat... maybe just tethered somewhere near your boat.

I'm not quite sure about websites, but hair salons are usually packed with hair style magazines. 90% of them are horribly out of date, but every once in a while you find something that doesn't involve fluffed bangs or a feathered mullet.

You have had to have short hair at one point if its long. It just doesnt come out long, haha.

But look on yahoo images, thats what i did when i got my hair cut. You can get different websites off of there too.

And make sure you dont go to short at first!

If you have access to photoshop, or can find a website that lets you do a virtual makeover, then I'd try that before cutting your hair. Find a style you like in a magazine or online, and then apply the hairdo on your photo. I never had bangs before, so I edited my photo in photoshop to give me bangs, and I like it.
I printed my virtual haircut and brought it with me to the hairstylist, and she worked with me to cut it to look like how I had it in the photo. I was very satisfied!

I had LONG hair.....I got it cut SHORT (it took 4 hours to get it cut). I love it!! Its a lot cooler....I will never grow it long again!
