remove food for 12 hours, water for 6 then slowly reintroduce
hopefully he just has upset tummy - however i will say what others are saying also.. if you cannot afford a vet you cannot afford a pet, in the dogs best interest do something like sell your TV, sell your computer, cut off your flipping internet - GET THE DOG TO A VET.. it is more important and if not you should give the dog to your local SPCA so they can care for it and find it a new owner

did you know that failure to treat a sick animal can have you charged with neglect??
how is it you can afford to be on line but cannot afford basic care for your pet??/

Your dog sounds very sick. Take him to the vet first thing in the morning and let them know you do not have money and see what they say.

In the mean time, just feed him a little rice and chicken broth and see if that stays down. Most likely he has an infection as this is a very common thing for vomiting dog. If he does have an infection, the vet will be able to prescribe the right anti-biotic.

Good luck, and I hope your dog is feeling well soon.

Please, if you cannot offer some real assistance to this concerned pet owner stop judging him/her! Try contacting your local humane society or animal shelter asap to see if there might be a vet in the area who can offer low cost or free care to pet owners in financial need; you may also be able to make payment arrangements. How long have you had the puppy? Vomiting and refusing to eat can be signs of stress as well as illness. You might offer some Pedialyte or sweetened water; lack of fluids is far more dangerous than lack of food. Very small breeds can suffer from low blood sugar which can also cause the symptoms you mentioned and lead to seizures and coma. You could even try kool aid! Parasites can also cause these symptoms. I do hope you find a vet to see your dog. Raising a dog is a financial commitment as well as an emotional one; try to put a dollar or two aside every week and you will have a puppy medical fund to fall back on.

Is there a school of veternary medicin nearby? If yes get to A.S.A.P. They'll probably help for free or a nominal amt.
If not, ask around for a vet that has a heart. There should be at least one that'll forgo the fee to help a sick animal. Most vets didn't become vets solely for the money. They have compassion for animals and often their owners too. Show up at the clinic. Be quiet, insistent and polite. Be prepared to wait all day. (bring "knitting", a few discrete magasines, and a crossword pule book and be prepared to wait all day if need be. The vet will see you. Also he probably has smaple medicine that he can give you. (they get it form drug salesmen as samples to try out.
I must rspectfully disagree with the writers who wrote that one must have a certain income or bank balance in order to qualify to have the love and companionship of a pet. (i.e. that amt. of $ to afford a vet's fees.
Be persistant, and patient, (most professionals do do a fair amount of substantially free work.) e.g. It's sort of pay-back, in my case, for the good fortune to have afforded to pursue several science degrees and law school.
Good luck & God bless.

I don't know what your pomeranian has but you really need to have him put down or come up with the money for a ton of vet bills. I'm not sure about where you live, but I believe in Louisiana, they have a pet medicaid. You should check into it and see if your state has it. Your dog is very sick and miserable and I'm sure it's hurting you to see him go through this. So as for right now, as much as I hate to say it because I love animals, you might have to do something to forever rid him of this pain, like put him down. One other option is to go to a breeder or a pet shop to see what they can do, but they might say the same thing. :(

Start calling vets to see which one (if any) will take payments. Call relatives & friends to see if you can borrow money. He needs to see the vet. He could be poisoned, or he could have parvo; if you can't afford to take him to the vet, perhaps you did not get him his shots? Many things could cause the symptoms you describe.

Then once you have him all fixed up from the vet, you need to seriously reconsider your position. If you cannot afford to properly take care of hm, you need to consider finding him a new home, or having an emergency fund so this does not happen again.

If it is a puppy sounds as if it is parvo, worms will do this to them also. There is nothing you can do for this dog at home, it needs to see a vet immediately or it will die if it is worms or parvo.
Since this is a pomeranian, is it full blooded? These dogs are not cheap to get unless you was given this dog. Assuming you love your dog, which I am not saying that you don't you need to be able to afford a pet before you get one. So many people get pets because they are selfish and only consider the feelings of theirselves when acquiring a new pet. People do not take into consideration that these pets need their shots, and i do not mean one shot like alot of people think they need a series of shots before they are protected from deadly killers of puppies and dogs. People do not consider can I afford to take this pet to the vet? they think puppies are cute and satisfy their wants by getting one. This is selfish to the pet.
IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE THE DOG TO THE VET THEN DO NOT GET THE PET, IT IS THAT SIMPLE.

sounds like maybe a gastro intestine infection...the cheapest way to at least get fluids into him is sugar water. start with just a bit at a time - if he wont drink it on his own, use an eyedropper. give him little portions often. if he holds that down, start giving a bit more at a time. another thing ive used is echinechia (sp?). its a natural antibiotic. you can get capsules that you can break open and mix into their water as well. for your dogs size i would maybe do about a third of a capsule split up into twice a day. if everything goes well with this for a day or two, holding everything down, start giving him tiny bits of food, nothing too rich and just increase bit by bit. hope this helps, sorry about some of the other dumb posts.

It's so easy for people to judge and ridicule you, and yet not offer you any help, isn't it? I just hope THEY never need help. I was in the same spot (A sick SERVICE ANIMAL, but no money)... I got ahold of the yellow pages, and found about 4 or 5 on the bus line... I called them all and told them the problem. Every one of them was willing to let my cat suffer, because I had no money. Except the last one I called. They listened to me, and actually had COMPASSION! They accepted my baby, and told me that they have an "Indigent Fund" for people in my circumstances. I was thrilled! Get the yellow pages and go to it sweetie. God Bless you, and good luck.

Is he a puppy? Did he get 4 sets of vaccines from a VET?
If not, it could be parvo and I have NO sympathy for people who get pets that they can't afford.
