How can god who is supposed to be merciful and loving, condemn us to hell for being the way he made us? Being imperfect as we are, it is a given that some will not turn to god and that they will lead a life of sin because that is how we were created. That is like a parent choosing to have a baby even though they know it will have birth defect like mental retardation and then punishing the child because it doesn't achieve normal grades like other children.

Yes God is perfect and we are made in the image of God. However, we are born into a world that sin lives. We are not born with sin on us, we grow and develop our behavior early. Sin enters in when we give into the ways of the world. We are taught early in life the right way and wrong way of doing things. It is our own choosing which path we walk. If you lie, then you have sinned. If you tell the truth you have chosen to not sin in that area of your life. If you steal, you have sinned. If you don't have sticky fingers and you leave other peoples belongings alone, you then choose to do the right thing and have not sinned. Sin entered in when both Adam and Eve ate of the fruit that the devil told them to eat. Yes it was Eve who ate it first, but Adam knowing he was not to eat of it because God told him not to, chose to eat of it instead of reprimanding Eve for eating it. Adam chose to sin again God the Father. Then they tried hiding from God because they knew they had sinned against him. This act is what made us imperfect for sin then entered the world.

Jesus came to save the world not to condemn it. Through Jesus Christ we are born again... not going back into our mother's womb, but we are set free from our past, the past in which we chose to sin. We do our utmost not to sin, but we are all human and we do fall short of God's glory even when we have come to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. If you choose the gift of Salvation, believe sincerely in Christ Jesus, who He is and why He had to come to earth... confess your sins, and do all this in public.. you shall be set free. You don't have to confess to others your sins, ask God to forgive you, mean it, and you are forgiven. If you believe upon the name of Jesus, you shall be saved. That's the first step.

If you choose to sin, that is your choice. God will NOT force Himself on any person. He has given us "free will", it is up to each individual where they want to spend eternity.

God is not the one that sends us to hell if we go against Him, it is self that sends self to hell. Choose this day in who you shall serve... God or Satan.

God is merciful that is why he sent His only son to save us all.

We need to remember that there is an oposing force here..."scuzz-ball" a.k.a satan. He is the creator of sin.

Discipline is a from of love.....we discipline our children because it helps them grow. God doesn't want us to sin because it hurts us, and there are consequences to our actions. Gods punishment was hell IF you didn't follow the rules. But seriously He knew we couldn't possibly follow those rules, sin cannot be controled.

So God sent a sacrifice, Jesus Christ, His only son, in our place to take on all the sin of everyone so we wouldn't have too. God is merciful, even though he knew we would sin anyways, he also sent a way out, He sent a savior!

God loves YOU

For one, you do not have the full picture. Alot has happened from the time of creation and now. Far more then you might imagine. To keep it simple, we were perfect. Our bodies were actually made for us to be immortals, but things have happened along the way. To get to the point, we are perfect. Not our bodies. But if you try your best to have an open mind and find your Self, then freedom will be given to you -- or should I say you have already found heaven. You shall become an immortal -- or should I say you realized you were already one in the first place. But keep in mind that things take time and alot of work - the work of making the right decisions each moment of your life.

It seems you are stuck in the religious world. Do not be concerned about the world of religion. In the world of religion, there are three types of people. People that are trying to find their way - people that think they have found the way - and people who actually have found the way and are limiting their progress because religion offers old teachings not appropriate to them. Teachings that are holding them back because the habit of being attached to them.

So I say this to you: Do not be worried about this or that in the myths of religion. They are the past, if they ever were. Follow your heart and keep an open mind with discernment. Find what resonates with your heart and just play around while looking around. You will find some interesting stuff if you let God do what he does. I hope this eases some tention from the concern. Cheers!

I don't believe in Hell because God is loving and he would not condemn us to such torture. However he disciplines us if we do wrong. The first human beings(Adam and Eve) were created perfect but they turned away from God. God did not give up on us that is why he gave Jesus Christ to redeem us so we can have a chance at reconciliation with him. In today's world, if we adhere to God's laws we are assured of blessings now and in the future. Hope I helped

He didn't make us evil or even to know sin. Adam and Eve ate of the Tree of Knowledge. Before that they knew no sin, after sin was entered into the world along with death, sickness, and disease. We are all given a choice to live in sin, there is salvation for sin but it is a choice and he is not doing the choosing you are.

God created us with a freedom of choice. What would the point be to have a bunch of automatons running around. Faith has to be personal to mean anything. We choose to sin, we choose to reject, we chose faith or no faith. It is in that choice where condemnation or life eternal lies. "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." God has given us a way out of hell - the gift of his son. The choice is yours...

God does not condemn us to hell we condemn ourselves (He gave us free will )weather to live a life of sin or to choose his will for us. Don't get me wrong we will always be sinners but those who know God's will for us try our best to serve him & not Satan & the sin of the world. All i can tell u is that my life is a lot better now that i have him in it!!!

We started out perfect. Even God said "it was good". We sinned after that.

Condemning us to hell? No, not really. Hell is the complete separation from God and all that He is. If you openly disobey him, even though you know what good and bad is, then what's he to do? Should he let you be bad?

God doesn't condemn us to hell for being the way he made us.

He made us in his image. And he gave us free will. He gave us the ability to choose.

We can chose to believe in him and follow him. We can choose to refuse to do so.

He will condemn us to hell if we refuse to believe in him and refuse to do what he asks.

We all have a choice to make.

Your analogy is quite flawed. A mentally retarded child cannot choose to be as smart as other children. We * can * choose to believe in God, seek his forgiveness for our sins, and follow his will.

That tree was called the tree of knowledge of good AND EVIL. If no evil existed, then how could God have provided Adam and Eve with a way to obtain knowledge of it?? God even said, "They have become like US, knowing good from evil." To have knowledge of evil is to be like God, yet God punishes us for knowing about evil, so he is punishing us for being like him, even though he created us to be like him. In whose universe does this make sense?
