If they did apoligize, it whouldnt mean anything. they whould apoligize but do similar things to the witchtrials again at a later date, with no regrets at what they are doing at the moment. thats the sad truth of the matter.

Can you prove the christians actually were responsible for the Salem Witch Trial murders? I took a quick poke around and none of the literature stated christians specifically killed them. Just that they were murdered for practicing witchcraft.

Is it not safe to say that all manner of religious influences were involved in their murders? For all I can tell, it could just be that they were killed out of paranoia.

You must remember it appeared to the normal townsfolk as a plague effecting young ladies. Since they had no idea what the cuase was they assumed that the devil himself was responsible. Even athiests from that time period may have condoned their killing becuase they feared their families would soon suffer the plague of witchcraft as well.

Mabye im under researched, but from the sounds of it you put together a rash and sneering question out of hatred.

I am an occultist so the silly christian defense will not work for my words. Please look into the truth before you assume the murders are the work of christians. Plainly put your bigotry against christianity only makes practitioners of witchcraft look like the haters they claim christians to be.

To the truth,
Silence

When the Americans appoligise for killing off my Native American people and putting them in reservations, for making my culture illegal, for destroying my entire nation....Come on... its not going to happen. You can cry about anything. Every culture has experienced some trauma at some point in history. You can point fingers, wait for something that will not happen or you can move on.

The best thing you can do is educate people and make sure it does not happen again. The so called Christians that killed off people in Salem were not practicing Christian beleifs if they were killing people and judging people.

Many people know that the verse . "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Exodus 22:18 was edited in the english translations. The word witch was switched from the hebrew word from 'prisoner' or 'slave'.

Keep in mind just because a few people from a certain group are doing something wrong it dosent mean everybody from that group should say that they are sorry. Jesus taught us not to judge, and even as a Pagan, I was taught that too. Before I became a Christian, I was a Pagan for many years.

The "Christians" that killed off your people were not following the message of Jesus. Jesus was a man of Love and peace. He was an an amazing man, and the Son of God who died for the sins of the world. People are sinners, and some do twist the Holy Bible and the word of God. The best thing Christians can do is educate themselves, and pray. Know the true message of Jesus.

Didn't that happen over one hundred years ago? Stop crying about it. They're not going to apologize for something they didn't do. If you're going to complain about anything, it should be about Fundamentalists calling non-Christians devil worshipers or how bush looks down upon Neopagans; and not something that nobody alive today is responsible for.

Btw, you're thinking of the Witch Burnings in Europe and many witches (probably real in this case) were killed at that time.

I'm pretty sure that Moonbeam turned me into a newt.
I, however, am not Christian so no apologies from me.

Seriously, though, was was the population of Salem in the 1600s?

How old are you? Do you realize that there weren't any witches in Salem?

um, sorry I wasn't guilty of that crime. In fact, I wasn't even a live then. How about you?

If it will make you feel better though I will apologize to you. But there is one condition....
If you are white, then I want you to apologize for slavery to every black person you come across over the next 2 months.
If you are a man, I want you to apologize to every women you come across over the next two months because millions of women have been raped by men.
If you are a women, apologize to every child over the next two months for all of the mothers that have hurt their children.
I like this game. If we all played it the world would be a restored place so lets get started.

Okay, I'm sorry. By the way, how many people lived in Salem, when they were burning witches? Thousands?

I find it amusing how Christians will state that they should not apologize because they were not responsible for burning the witches (a very true and logical statement) but don't have any problem accepting the existence of and worshipping a god who punishes children for their parent's sins.

yeah right,

I would like to see them first apologies for killing millions of my people during the crusades, the Spanish inquisition, the pogroms, the bloodlibles and not to mention the dozens of forced expulsions and millions of forced conversions

I am sill waiting on that.

Thousands? Don't think so. 20 people in all were killed. Apologies were made at the time.

thousands? try 20! the christians that you need to hear tell you 'sorry' are all dead. i am not to blame for what they did long before i came along!

i'm sorry you think witchcraft is the answer to your life, but it's the end of it if you keep it up, God will give you what you need, not what you want, and you will get it when you need it
