Energy. Thoughts are energy. Intention is energy. If your intention is to find water with a divining rod, or willow branch, and you allow the energy to work, no negativity etc. it can work. some people are more sensitive than others.

Are you asking how to do it? Its been a while but if I remember correctly you hold the rod with both hands and start walking. when the rod bends down, or sometimes up, you will feel the energy. Stop. ask how deep, in feet, and start counting. when the rod dips again remember the number, and that is how many feet deep you will have to go for water.

Some people will say this is evil. Personally I think that someday science will show how it is done and it won't be evil anymore, and the world will be round instead of flat.

all divination is based on releasing concious blocks so we can see into our unconcious or through other beings to find answers to questions that we are (hopefully) looking for.

Finding a meditational state (which you can do in so many ways) and then when you become either tuned into the water, then you ask your question. It is listening to your innerself that tells you the answer.

Examples of water divination... being at a brook, waterfall, fountain, sink and after concentrating on a question... Then seeing a picture in the water (or steam, or spray) that might mean something to you, or hearing some noise that reminds you of something (like a rock dropping in water reminding you of throwing a penny in a fountain and it leads to other thoughts)

As in prayer, talking with spirit, or any form of divination... it is about finding the answer that you believe in. Take all forms of divination as extensions of your inner self. If you don't believe it is a form of your innerself but rather an invasion from something then be weary of the advice and seek an answer somewhere else.

Suggestions, to make a statement that the divination is from spirits who mean to help you, or that may god show you the best answer for your question, or that you may see the best thing that your spirit can find for your answer (or some benificial, loving, "light" statement)... that you ask for help with undines or water spirits or other spiritual being that works with water that you know is safe.

You have to have a pair of dowsing rods. Hold them straight out in front of you, not touching, and when they swing together, you've found an underwater spring.
