Incan_Princess is right (care +n)... I had a Cairn Terrier as a child. He was the sweetest!! I love him to this day!! Maybe you remember Toto from the Wizard of Oz... Toto was a Cairn.

Forget cute. Try yelling each a few times! "Hercules" is not easy to yell. And you'll get odd looks yelling "Tuck" at a dog park. Tut is silly. I'd go with Bert, Ernie, or George.

I think it's pronounced like "care" with an N on the end.
My neighbor has one and she is soo sweet and she is also very smart!!!
