it's definately the medication that is causing you to sweat profusely. Hypothyroidism also causes slow metabolism which can also make you sweat. Aside from a 2000 calorie diet you should aslo be excercising regularly. Best to go back to your doctor.

Fever, sweating, or heat sensitivity are less serious side effects of Synthroid. Continue to take Synthroid and talk to your doctor. Tell your doctor what you said here. He/she may need to try something else that will not cause problems.

How many people do you see sweating every 5-10 minutes on a regular basis? Huh? None, your an idiot, everyone that asks questions about something being normal are idiots. If it's a medical question, go to a doctor, if it's something about your pet, take it to a vet, so on and so fourth.

Damn Gndmalx, what a jerk! If you read her question correctly, she didn't ask if it was "normal", she asked if it was "common"! Which means is it common for someone with her condition! Looks like you're the "idiot" here. This from the same person who asks the question "If an Elephant jumps off the Empire State Building will it die... ", by the way, nice spelling!
And you call her an idiot! Get a life!

Honey, sounds like you are menopausal.
My "inner child plays with matches" also, from time to time. You may want to discuss low dose estrogen replacement with your physician. I have found that lots of exercise, getting my body in shape has really helped me cope with the hot flashes, also. Doesn't make them go away entirely, but certainly makes me tolerate them better.

It's probably your medication that is causing all this, read the label first and then talk to your doctor about possible side effets of this drug. May be they can give you something differet.
