I'm not sure what kind of dog you have, but small dogs such as chihuahua's tend to shake from nervousness also. However dogs like to be warmer than we do.

My pekingese was doing this and we rushed her to the vet. She was having back problems at L2 vertebrae and was in pain. Never assume a dog is shaking just from being scared or nervous. A lot of the smaller breeds are prone to back issues. My peke had back surgery six years ago and this time it wasn't as serious.

It may be shy or anxious....it may also have some nerve damage.

It could just be nervous. Or maybe sick. Talk to your vet.
