I wonder the same things sometimes. I mean I don't want to bug people about coming to church or anything I just want to help them. When I ask people to come to church or minister to them, they are like " I'll be there" and they never show up. If i had a penny for every time i have heard that i would be rich. What's up with that? And they wonder why they have so many problems in their lives. Maybe if they come to church and give GOD some of their time maybe they won't have all those problems in their lives.

I wouldn't say they're "blind" just because they don't go to church or even believe in God.
There are some who believe in God or attend church every Sunday who turn around and cuss, discriminate and hurt. In my opinion, it doesn't matter whether one has a religion or not - all that matters is they have good morals and treat others with kindness.

a cruel man believes in a cruel God. yours fits the bill as a cruel god

the only blind people i see are christians that think they are right and going to heaven while treating everyone like crap and asking to be forgiven 24/7 but not changing thier initial behavior. just a broken record for a broken soul,.........thats what a christian fundamentalist is.

Christianity makes a mockery of God. At the same time that Christians claim to worship God as an omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent being, they make him out to be incompetent bumbler. Or worse. Simple forgiveness is beyond his capacities. God must "sacrifice himself to himself to change a rule he made himself!"

This is not only an absurdity, it is an essential absurdity. It is present in almost almost all forms of Christianity, and one can scarcely remove it and remain a Christian in anything but name. By definition, all Christians worship Christ - in some form - and most worship him as a saviour.

But what, exactly, is he saving us from? Though it varies from church to church, no matter what they call it, it's God himself. A hell created by God, a world fallen as a result of God's negligence, a separation from God imposed... by God.

"It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being."
- Dan Barker, Losing Faith in Faith

Christianity certainly isn't the first religion to promote appeasement of its gods, and if it were merely another supernatural protection racket, it would be bad enough. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there. Christians elevate appeasement to the realm of "personal relationship", transforming their religion into a true monstrosity.

This is the type of "relationship" that abused wives have with their husbands, that brainwashed hostages have with their captors. It is known in clinical circles as Stockholm Syndrome. Should it come as any surprise that the cries of the church, "The Bride of Christ" sound much like the cries of an abused wife attempting to protect her husband?

"He must beat me."
"I deserve it."
"He has no choice."
"It's for my own good."

These excuses don't work for human abusers, and they work even less well for God. For if God is omnipotent, he must have a choice. And if we are flawed, we are only flawed because that is the way he made us. (No excuses that we ruined his perfect creation. A truly perfect creation does not self-destruct.)

If the Christian God does exist - and I see no reason to believe that he does - he's not worthy of the name.

And that is the ultimate absurdity of Christianity.

People find time for everything but God for one reason....sin is controlling their lives. People think believing in God isn't "cool" or their friends would think they were "weird". But, when your friends are no longer there, and you are all grown up and living in this crazy world trying to figure out where your life has gone wrong, there is always someone there to help you, someone who will always love you, even when you think no one does. It is God.

I have several friends who I've tried to talk to them about God & about being saved & going to church, they don't want to hear it. That's because they aren't ready to give up their sinful lives. Sin is addicting, and it leads people to believe it's the best way to live. They are free to do what they wish. And they simply don't want to give up the freedom of doing whatever they want.

I know there are going to be a lot of people who read this and will respond with something negative, or something hateful, or disrespectul to God, but that's okay, they will also be forgiven. They know in their hearts what is right, and they have just made the choice to ignore what is right & let the devil take over their lives. It's really sad. People out there who do not know God, and who are not saved, will never know how it feels to be truly loved & to feel truly secure. But they can. All you have to do is say a prayer, and believe in what you say. Ask God to come into your heart, forgive you for all your sins, and be a part of your life. It's that simple.

I agree with you, I feel sorry for them too. But, I was once in their shoes, empty, full of hate, not listening when I knew I should be. But, the Bible does say that everyone will have the chance to hear the Word of God & everyone will have a chance to make things right with Him. Most people think you have to become someone different, to give up everything you love, but that isn't true. No one is perfect, and God understands that. He will forgive you for anything that you have done. He loves you. Just trust in Him and your life will change forever. God Bless you & God Bless anyone who isn't saved. He wants to save you. He wants you to confess to Him. He is waiting. He knows deep in your heart you want to, and he's waiting patiently, because He loves you.

Did you ever consider they haven't really found God? Also, did you ever consider that you don't need goto church to make time for God? The soldiers out in Iraq, do you think they have to time go to services each week? However, I bet they pray a lot more than you do. What about the people who don't believe in a Christian God? Do they need to make time for God?

Because the bible says, the world will become wiser and more wicked near the end of time. It's has not been this bad in almost 4000 years.

I think people who believe in God let him into their hearts I do not believe that you have to attend church to believe in or worship God. I think it is nice that you try to minister to them but do they want this? And they will accept God in their own time and by their own rules

What's wrong with people not brownnosing god by spending time in churches saying "Notice me! Notice me!"

What a wonderful world we would have if all that time people spent in churches worrying about their own souls was spent in helping others in need.
