Entitled to say angry things in a forum such as this? yes... and you know why? b/c this is the United States... and that's why so many people want to come here.. for that freedom... to voice your opinion in anyway.
Entitled to deny citizenship to those who deserve it while american born citizens sponge off welfare? Apparently so, b/c that's what I see day in and day out. I want to know exactly WHERE people that quote monetary figures are getting these figures from... b/c I know that some of those figures are NOT true,
Entitled to fight for our country and defend us? Well... Apparently only the poor and the ones who want citizenships... b/c that is the current stipulation...
Entitled to allow the ones who wash our dishs, cook our food, do our laundry, clean our houses, mow our lawns, and pick our produce to live in constant fear? Yes, b/c although we all have utilized their services, yet we turn a blind eye to their true peril to have the chance to come to the US...
Entitled in those ways... I suppose yes... Entitled to close their minds to new ideas? yes... unfortunately...
Entitled to vote? yes.. but do we no...
It's sooo sad... b/c we as American Citizens are sooo entitled to so many things, yet we do NOT vote, and we do NOT examine the real issues and look at things from the other side before we form opinions... And b/c we're Americans we are also given that freedom to do so....

That is an excellent question!
A few years ago there was a huge study about the differences between the rich and the poor. The conclusion was that for some reason the rich feel 'entitled' to be rich. I have no clue why but they do.
The same conclusion applies to Americans. I am an American but I have travelled to other countries and I don't understand my fellow citizens at all.
Yes, we have been fortunate to be born in a country of wealth. Some don't even think we are wealthy because they consider themselves poor. I try telling them that they don't realize what poverty is until they see barefooted children in the streets at 1am begging for money. Or complete families living in cardboard boxes.
Anyways, the answer to your question is: blind arrogance. And that is going to be our downfall.

Entiled to What? Our Flag's sanctity which represents that of our nation? Our tax benifits which we alone pay for? Our language which represents our economy and has become as a direct result the unofficial trade language of the world? Wow WHY do we feel entitled to anything? after all we have only stopped three evil maniacs bent on world domination, stopped five empires dead in their tracks, created or protected and left alone half a dozen republics, invented more things for the beterment of humanity than any other still existing nation; Why DO we feel so DAMN entitled?!?!

You would ask this being illegal and all. LEGAL CITIZENS are entitled, and you asked so don't bash me when I answer. OUR forefathers fought and died for this land and the rights that we have today, not yours! How many of your fathers and uncles died in wars here? Those are the jobs Mexicans won't do, huh? That is why WE are entitled not that you really wanted to know. Enjoy your welfare check.

what do you mean? in one sense we do deserve some entitlements: the government must provide basic minimums of protection. Going beyond that, US citizens tend to have fewer entitlements than the citizens of most other 1st world countries.

How would you feel about a person that sneaked over to your country and started making demands on your people claiming they were being to hard on them because they weren't born in that country? As an American and Us citizen I am entitlled to what America has to offer me and my family because I was born here and am Legal.

I believe to be a US citizen is not a entitlement but a Great Honor and something to pass to our children as Great Honor. And anyone today that becomes a US citizen (Legally) today has been given a Great Honor also and a priceless legacy to pass to their children.

Because we are citizens, just as the citizens of Mexico are entitled. We will not suspend our constitution to the will of another country, and neither would they.
Our consitution has been attacked, and it will get fixed.

Because veterans like myself go and do a job most say needs to be done but are too damn afraid to go do it themselves, and send us to places they wont go themselves .if you love your freedom thank a veteran!i think part of becoming a naturalized citizen should come with a one year tour of duty in iraq.then you would be entitled too.
