Here's a few tips:

Clean your Iron with windex or the rubbing alcohol.

If you want to wear your hair straight try the herbal essence products. i've never tried them, but everbody's hair is different-so you need to find what works best for you.

Using a shampoo and cond. for smoothing hair is a good way to start since they will help smooth hair from the get go. If you want your hair curly you will need a seperate shampoo and cond. though since the ones to help straighten hair will way your hair down a bit.

See a stylist and ask them to give you some tips on what to do to help you wear your hair curly and or straight. They can give you tips I cna't since I can't feel or see your hair.

Well, first of all, hair irons do exactly that...They iron the hair. You have to straighten, then comb, straighten, then comb small strands of hair until it is straight. I have naturally wavy hair too, so what I do then is use Garnier Fructis sleek and shine (which is in a little round funny bottle) and if you hair is very wavy, you might want to try Frizz Ease. As for the scrunching, there's different ways. I would buy a product called ABBA (they usually have it at nice salons or places like ULTA. What it does is what they call "Instant Recall" (which, actually is the name of the specific type of ABBA you should get) and spray the heck out of your hair. Then attach a diffuser to you blow dryer, this round thing with pegs on it (like 2.99) and blw dry it while "scrunching". If you have nice beach hair that you like, another way to scrunch is using a saltwater mixture. Buy a spray bottle a (at the 99 cent store is the best bet) and spray it in your wet hair. It gives it that fresh out of the ocean look. (You can also add lemon into the mixture to lighten your hair a little bit!)

Hope this helps! Lauren

cleen your iron with vinager or regular rubbing alchoal. the both dry fast and won't damage the iron.

try an all in one shampoo and conditioner. believe it or not the polymer in the conditioner will weight down your hair and make it appear less wavy. (pantene has a great OTC 2in1)
