If somebody is in possesion of this, i have a question. When the site says: "The zip fastener is placed on the back for safety reasons - your child cannot remove the Floatsuit by himself."

How does this work? will it be uncomfortable for the kid?

the floatation is okay, www.swimsafe.nl

the zipper is what worries me, the seam on the back zipper may cause irritation.

make sure there are some floating devices around the chest area and not just the stomach.
My daughter had one when she was smaller. When she got into water where she could not touch she flipped over head first into the water unable to flip herself back over. Thank the lord i was there beside her to flip her back over. Needless to say i returned it that day. I don't suggest you buy one. As far as i am concerned they are not safe at all.

Swimming teachers do not recommend that you use any type of flotation devises for your child as it gives them a false sense of security your child may think they can float and then jump in without it on and drown. i suggest getting your child into swimming lessons. My son is 2 years old and has been doing swimming lessons since 5 months and he can float and doggy paddle to the edge of the pool and get himself out. Teaching your child to swim through lessons is a much safer alternative!

The zipper should be hide by the fabric behind. I have one for my baby and for my older son.
However I found these uncomfortable for both.
