I would have to know more. Fire is a scary thing. A few years ago I had to help my cousin get her horses out where she was in California. We had to paint phone numbers on the horses in case of separation. It came one block up to her house. The smoke was unreal.
I would hate to see anything burn.
And yes I have heard of one serious fire that we had. I would hope we didn't sacrifice one for the other. But I need to know more to say this was a bad thing.

As a California resident I had not heard this, and do agree its wrong. Though I don't know about the "Die Gringo" chant of the illegal allien marches? If thats true its terrible the media didn't pick up on that - they are protecting the illegal immigrants because that kind of attitude would send more Americans over the top on this issue.

As for them getting hurt in Mexico I'm sure they are given full benefits by the people of California and those benefits would continue in Mexico. I would like to think if we could help in a crisis we would, but I agree with you we must help our fellow states first; and we need to get that darn border closed. ASAP....shame on Arnie for denying Bush that 2nd 1,500 national guard troops for the border...shame on him. That said you know his opponent in the election wouldn't give Bush any national guard troops at all.

Why White people so ignorant? There was Mexican troops in Louisiana and Texas to help out the victims during Katrina. Mexican are not hostile, White Americans are--- they fear any people of color. Study your history u have started wars everywhere u go. This country was Mexico until it was stolen. US wanted to buy, but Mexico refuse so US started WAR. The southwest--- Americans(by the way America is a Spanish word)were allowed to live there. Americans living in Texas when it was Mexico did not followed Mexican Law. First let me say that I love your posts and many others on here. We seem to feel exactly the same way about this crisis.

I find it reprehensible that our government is more concerned about a country who has given us nothing but problems than it is their own. I find it repulsive that other Americans take up for criminal Mexicans. I will never for the life of me figure out why people from OUR country take up for them, unless of course they are married to one. Even then, it seems like they would want to do the right thing. That being said, I am heart broken that my country is in the state that it is because of these people and because of our incompetent and indifferent "leaders." This is just one of the more stupid things they have done that can be construed as treasonous by us.

A federal dollar spent is a federal dollar, and represents confiscation of a dollar from a citizen. in case you had a mind, you would multiply the fashion of federal funds received through "blue" states and evaluate them to the federal funds received through the "purple states" : The allocation isn't a million/fiftieth in step with state , or a million/51th, consisting of d.c. you're stupid in California, you're too beneficiant with "entitlements" and your state can take its liberal politicians and crappy employer climate and change into one tremendous enormous nationwide park. or possibly you'll promote sections of sea coast to different states (and quit that stupid concept of "the sea coast belongs to anybody"). in case your math were mind-blowing, CA would do not have any deficit, and all will be nicely. rather, you've moonbeam and botoxer and luxuriate in.

C'mon, let's not be selfish...

We always butt into other countries affairs & end up causing more trouble...but I think that this time we actually are helping them...

We are blessed......we are America.....we should feel proud that we are able to help a neighbor in a crisis.

Note: We have sent our amazing Army to liberate Iraq.....want to whine about that as well.
