Yes. It is caused by a bacterium, Clostridium tetani, that is introduce to the body by a break in the skin. Typical injuries are: puncture wounds, scrapes, lacerations, frostbite, surgery, crush wounds, abscesses, childbirth and IV drug use.

hehe no... lock jaw is when your muscles and stuff lock up in your jaw.... its not contagious but I wouldnt recommend kissing for safety purposes
