I am for the donating of organs. It saves lives of other people. I worked in a Transplant Clinic in Texas and I saw the results first hand. Have it printed on your drivers license that you are an organ donor.

Since I was a little girl I always said that I would never donate my heart because Im afraid that the person who got my heart was going to love the people that I loved eventhough it isnt true still wouldnt donate my heart but I will donate my other organs since both of my grandmothers had problems with thier organs

I think it's great. It's as if you were allowing the person to give of themselves one last time. I've already informed my husband that I want him to give away any organs he can after my death--I'm certainly not going to need them. That would include if I were clinically dead, with no hope of recovery.

I think if that person had the organs to help someone else live, then by all means. Help someone while they still can. If a person is brain dead then that "person" has already left and all that remains is their shell. I would do it.

Well, I obviously wouldn't need them anymore. I don't see any reason not to use my death in some sort of positive way. My organs could help save a few lives.

I'm scared that if you are in a critical condition, the ones in charge of taking the organs would provoke your death to take the spare parts

I have told my hubby to do it if I am in that situation. But it will be his decision, and I think it is a hard one to make even if you know the wishes of the person. Children's organs a re need really badly, but as a parent, I honestly don't know what I would do

I think it is a good idea....it will givew others a chance at life or a better life.......I had a friend whose 6 year old daughter died and she donated her eyes and lungs and heart and and kidneys and today there are 7 people alive and/or living a fuller life because of her unselfish gift of life.
