I don't do daring stunts because at the end of the flight I want to go home to my wife and kids.

That said, the most extreme thing I ever did was spins in a Cessna 152 during my flight training. It's pretty weird to pull the yoke back until the plane stalls, kick the rudder hard, and a few seconds later realize, hey, those are COWS. In my WINDSHIELD. Going AROUND and AROUND!!!!

Still, it was a valuable lesson.

The next weirdest thing was being in the back seat while another guy was doing "recovery from unusual attitudes" in the front. My BRAIN knew the instructor wouldn't let us crash, but my STOMACH was saying "Get me out of here or YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!"

Oh yes, have had three aerobatic lessons in a Citabria - fantastic! Loops, rolls, spins, anything and everything. Probably the most accomplished 'stunt' was flying a Skyhawk into Chicago Midway. Otherwise, I keep the dirty side down!

A couple!

Spins, mostly...they're great fun - mostly done them in Cessna 172's - have done one in a Seneca though!

Barrel-rolled a Cessna 182!

Plus, when I got a special low-flying approval, did low passes over a beach and aerodrome at about 50 feet in a Cessna 172!

Landed on a road after an engine failure in a Piper Warrior!

Doing soft field take-offs to gain as much speed as possible while staying 4 -5 feet off the runway and then pulling back on the yoke hard at the end of the runway, climbing until you approach stall speed - what a rush :-)

...I guess "stunts" can mean dangerous. So I guess it would be flying a Huey (UH-1H) between telephone poles (and beneath the wires) in the dead of night whilst wearing night vision goggles (no depth perception.)

The stupidest stunt I've ever been involved with was with a friend and after landing in his CE-152, he taxied back to the ramp, all-the-while gunning the engine and banging the tail on the ground. We found some damaged skin after we parked and he was beside himself with rage!

Personally, I have too much on the line to do anything completely out of line. However, I get a huge kick out of short-field takeoffs. Get a rolling start as soon as you receive clearance and you're airborne before you know it... and when you're in a jet, you're climbing out like you're hair is one fire! What a blast!

Landing in a Cessna 172 on one of O'Hare's longest runways... ('nuff said)

During my flying school days we were really mad, most daring must be flying a Cessna 152 through a (albeit small) train tunnel. - one way in and one way out....
