What if you are a good person that for example is fat or gay or had sex before marriage are you really going to hell just for that? Even if you worship him as well?

we all sin. no one is pure free and sinless. as long as you ask for forgiveness for your sins you will go to heaven. that is why a person should pray every day. i was taught to believe Jesus died for our sins. by accepting Him as your personal savior you will go to heaven. different people have different ways of believing and that is okay.

There really wouldn't be that many people there, now would there? Supposedly , God is supposed to love us the way we love our kids, so any good parent knows how deep that love is , and we forgive our children. I really don't think you will "go to hell" if you had sex before marriage, gay, fat? (are you talking about gluttony as a sin?) The guilt put upon some people can really mess them up. I think "murder", unless it's self-defense, is probably the worst.

Heaven and hell is where I believe that I am at, at any given moment. Most of the time it is some of both. In our seemingly imperfection we most certainly are Pure.. Pure Love... God is Love & that's all there is: All else is but an illusion. Really, there is no such thing as sin... living off the mark (sine) of total kindness always but never a sin.

Have you ever considered forgiving yourself?

Have you been heavily influenced by others who apparently are able to DEFINE SIN?

Have you a connection, even if within yourself to a belief/faith system?

Can you assume your own choices are valid, or don't need to be directed strictly by what others may tell you is THE RIGHT PATH?

I suggest that you can find a level of comfort in knowing yourself, independant of what you've been taught, told, even nagged about, and know in your heart, WHO and WHAT you are,,and are about, and listen only to you and your inner voice and strengths.

Your question, truly can be answered by YOU.

If you "ask" especially as a very personal, private, association with HIM or any diety or sense you SPEAK to, then I suggest, you should never DOUBT again.

Be confident,,,You're gonna be OK.

Since when do people have to chose between being fat or gay?
Being fat has nothing to do with salvation.
And do you really think fat people have lots of sex before marriage. They would rather spend the time eating a pizza.

Well, according to Christian tradition, we all carry the original sin of Adam, so being born is in itself a sin in a way. If you confess your sins and sincerely ask for repentance, then you're forgiven and get to go to heaven. The 'sincerely' part was always my problem.

You can either be pure and never sin (no one falls into this category, except Jesus)

OR you can accept the sacrafice Jesus gave for your sins and confess and turn away from the things you've done wrong.

Read Acts 2:38. This verse is the key to the kingdom.

If you have never ever sinned in your entire life, then you will go to heaven.

For the rest of us (who have sinned at times), we need to commit our lives to God based on what Jesus did for us on the cross.

For a brief explanation of the gospel (of salvation through Jesus Christ), see http://www.godsci.org/gs/new/essence.html
