what exactly do you consider excessive?

i mean, do those who converse with you need umbrellas, handtowels, or just a hanky?

really, sometimes the fine mist of saliva can be quite refreshing... and honestly, why would you want to deny others of that small little gift of YOU?

rock on, babe!

Nonsense, you simply have very powerful and active saliva glands that may or may be pointed outwardly. Medication and surgery are available for this, but you probably don't need (or want) this. While this is sometimes a sign of Parkison's or other diseases that come with age, it is probably just overactive glands and excitement that makes this happen. Before you speak, just relax, take a deep breath, swallow, and your words should come out smooth. And as the coonversation goes on, continue to do this. You will probably be spit free!

Life is too short to worry about spitting! Start chewing tabacco and talking at the same time!

While it is true that excessive saliva contributes to the problem, the main culprit is usually the way you pronounce your words. People with dentures sometimes acquire this problem because the dentures change the way they pronounce there words. Talk to a speech therapist.

eat some ketchup or popsicles, it will thicken the saliva temp. making it harder to spit over everything when you talk. also you could look into getting medication for such a disorder

You don't smoke enough. Shake your head back and forth like a dog first. Or you can lick your armpits. Instant dry mouth!

Talk slowly. Have a hankerchief or tissue on hand to wipe off.

I wear a fine mesh screen around my mouth. It really helps. Now when I say it I don't spray it.
