I took this photograph at the Vatican Museum, but neglected to note the painting's or the artist's name. The painting depicts soemone holding the head of John The Baptist and angels looking on. I couldn't find the painting itself as there are quite a few museums in the Vatican, however, the following links may help you out

I think it is to bright for Caravaggio. I´m not sure, but I would place it in 19th century.

I'm not sure, but it has a Carravagio-feel to it.
